The problem is when scientists manipulate data and suppress peer reviews for whatever reason. Many people formerly on the fence in regards to global warming simply don't trust them anymore. For all I know, we have been in a period of global cooling for the past 5 years but that is being covered up. In fact, the area where I live has cooled down over the past few years and that's empirical.

Why didn't mine work? It said, "please update Impulse" out of the box, with no built-in mechanism to do that.
clonmac, I suspect you don't get a response from Dr Guy because sometimes there is no argument that will change a person's mind. The most futile debate possible is between people entrenched in their views. Your argument about the Antartic is hardly an iron clad showstopper. Antarctica ice may or may not be melting. Big deal. If the ice was growing instead of shrinking would you change your mind and be against the AGW movement? I doubt it. Do you attribute global warming on a solar sys
I couldn't help but notice when I bought GC2 in Dec 2009, Impulse was not self-updating. I had to go out and find the latest version manually. That's not a problem for many people, but for many others its too much trouble. Since the business model for Stardock includes lowering barriers to entry, they need to look at making impulse self-updating.

Does the single player game have replay value? Btw, I notice your avatar is from Ender's Game cover art; one of my favorite books.
There is global warming taking place in the solar system in general. It would be interesting to see how AGW followers are able to spin that bit of science. There are tons of articles on the Internets on this, here's one: http://www.livescience.com/environment/070312_solarsys_warming.html

I saw this game at Walmart last night and everything I read on the box sounded exactly like GC2. The graphics looked better, but aside from graphics how is the gameplay of SoSE different?
I would give you karma, but I'm too potent. Whenever I give someone karma (e.g. GM-morpjeas) they end up with 2 points instead of 1

That's interesting since we can't decommission them individually.

Oh, I get it now (I think). The action to destroy your own colony and the desire to leave it habitable seems to be contradictory. Btw, can you destroy a colony with Galactic Achievements on it?
I would give you all karma but the forums keep going boom
banned for annoying me with your annoying bans
Why does that happen? As an IT guy, my guess is forums.galciv2.com is low on resources, but that's just a guess.

I've never seen an off-top forum with so many forum games going on.
