I did something wrong then. I had 12 Ogrovs and they were quickly wiped out by the platforms. In fact, they got wiped out so fast I didn't have time to retreat. I used Ogrovs on the planet after the platforms were gone and yes they made short work of that.

Yeah, its Alt. Those platforms have incredible range. When the planet dies, do the platforms stop?

[noob alert] I started playing "trinity" over the weekend. Before I get too far into it I would like to know the difference in versions. After installation, I get 4 different shortcuts to choose from. 1. What is the difference between Trinity and Diplomacy? I can't help but notice the "diplomacy" screen when I start up Trinity. 2. Does Diplomacy contain the functionality of Entrenchment and the original game?

Last night I wiped out the pirate's lair. That was hard! I lost a bunch of caps, cruisers and frigates. Luckily, my base was only 1 jump away for replacements. They had a ton of super platforms with 7k health.

Other strange behavior that might be related is the contant "Loading.." indicators: The progress bar on the lower right and the twirling "busy" animation on the page tab never goes away.
