Jocarren I think you did a nice job explaining ^__~ I personally love the col for early game, altho the gauss does eat your antimatter, it does alot of damage and helps alot to take down frigs, but that's just me(A person who isn't really experienced) and I personally research shields before hull, since I try to not get into hull with my capitals. And yeah, pirates get real mean late game, I had a game where pretty much all the pira
long ass post
I loved reading that xD Altho I've only used VL once so far(vs ai) and have no experience yet with how to use them properly, It took me a good 20 mins or so to finally be able to use strip to the core, and even then I hesitated using it since it would pretty much cripple any chance I had to get back up in case my fleet would get raped, I actually only used it after I had a good 8 planets
Seeing how several people have already found it, please share :) I'm looking myself right now, but I suck at these things xD
Quoting Rovert10, reply 171. Strip all your planets 2. Find some random astroid in the middle of the map 3. Build a 2000 supply fleet in about 30 minutes 4. Steamroll your emenies and win the game. I don't see the disadvantage of stripping all your planets. If you really wanted a korstra cannon than find some random astroids or moons to place them on. Culture is irrelevant
Perhaps it was a result of the TEC, Advent and Vasari allying and forming the VAT coalition. Now they are running from taxes. Nice screens Semaz. It would be on the Vasari ships (not just a titan). Clue: part of the answer involve= a human torso with arms on a new unspecified ship. I was hoping someone bright would figure it out without me saying it
Hey, that helps already 6) Good, so searching "randomly" is only for the local bonuses. I wonder if they are worth the price of a full search which is quite a lot. Generally I do this when I'm swimming in credits but it never happens in the early game. 8) Haaaa I never noticed the refinery quota ! Thx 9) That one is funny because I'm pretty sure I tried it once and did not notice anything
I have other things that I have not fully understood, could you help me with these too please : 5) At a certain point, I couldn't send more pirate regular raids against some enemies (there was a sort of pirate saber in front of their icon). I believed it was because they were already under a pirate attack but it lasted hours... In middle game, almost half or the 12 players had that symbol. 6) I noticed a symbo

But the 4 Dunovs is probably the best thing to have in this situation. Seriously, EMP is by far the most effective ability the TEC have to hit advent with. An Advent fleet without shields die quick and without antimatter they can' do much without it. Also get a
Hmm, Just played an occupation victory, an enemy took the planet after 4½ hours, than I assaulted it, took it over, he send a quite small force to try and take it back, but failed. and then no enemies at all came anymore to try and take it back. Ofcourse my force was quite large but it was a 2 vs 2 vs 2 vs 3(Me in a 2 team) game and they didn't even try it. All the enemies/1 ally was normal, so that might have caused it. But still, It felt...Lacking... (Pic from my own map
Repost due to forums going insane...Damn those gremlings
I don't know how hard that diffuculty is, since I play on normal atm. But when I Invaded the advent, I had a massive support fleet and capital fleet(4 Kol's, 4 dunov's, ragnarov, 2 marza's, 2 of those colony capitals...forgot their name and 2 capital carriers) and a few flaks/command ships/LRM and pretty much the rest was the heavy cruisers. And with focused fire it is alot of damage that I was doing with a 100 heavy cruisers or so that it was. And the titan's snipe abilit

Stop autopinning everything, and please set it to stack! all stacking does is make the game have to do autocasting and it's a retard about that. Tell one stack of 10 long range to attack another stack of 10 ships and the game tells your LRM's to fire at the closest ones in that targeted st

Hmm, I just made a map in Galaxy Forge, It works, no errors or whatever, but I put an artifact at a planet, an artifact spawned, but not the one I put there... Altho I have no clue how to unpin something, My fps was higher on this map, altho that might have been due to me not using mines and having only 1 star system, but non the less, almost no lag \o/(Apparently spamming 200 scouts to find their flagship isn't a good idea to fight the lag,However, my 130 corvettes changed almost no frame rate now I think about it...Weird...) I just played a flagship game, and when I won, the game minidumped :| But I won so I'm happy :) 130 corvettes+Entire capital fleet chasing the last flagship, had him cornered at 1 point and he kept warping between the 2 points so I just halted my capital fleet and made my corvettes jump through so he would jump back :P(Against normal AI, yes, I'm a freaking noob still)
Keep a few scouts in your fleets (You will have to add them manually since they don't auto join fleets) Scouts also act as mine detectors so once in a fleet they will autodetect the mines in range, and your fleet will clear them out. If you capped a planet with minefields. Leave a scout, or 2 behind, and build some hangar defenses. Same thing. Once scouts detect the mines the fighters, and bombers will clear the mines out. <
I´m still busy with my first map(Been in it for a good 17 hours already tho) and I've found a few things that I dislike.
