is it possible to keep the original music along with the ones i add though? becaause i wouldn't be able to add any more after i run out of names for the files
Thats when you get into the MusicData in the GameInfo folder. Adding a track requires updating the count at the top. No more multi-play though unless they have the same mod enabled I have multiple music mods and i switch them out like cds in a car

First off everything in modding is very case sensitive. Not sure on the folder but be safe and name it Sound. Use a player to go thru the original music files and find one you want to replace. Copy the name EXActly (i use rename and copy the the name) goto your mod\Sound folder and name it exactly.

That could be to your benefit though. Once you change the SoundData or SoundMusic you cant take advantage of staking mods. Lets say you change all the battle songs in your mod, then you download SOA 2 Star trek mod. If you place your mod on top and that mod did not change the names of the battle songs yours will play. If you had the SoundMusic in your mod it would override the Star Treks so only your music and the original game music would play I never heard of Wincustomize

I am guessing you want to change the SoundData or SoundMusic files if you dowloaded the reference files. When I did my first sound mod I avoided this step and copied the sounds I wanted to replace to my NewMod\Sound folder and edited and saved as ogg. Well they were ogg so just get the free ogg editor

you can keep a copy anywhere for future use. Just copy the files you need to your new mod folder and keep the rference files intact for future use. You can just use it as a start to a new mod as well, just rename the folder to your new mod name and place it in your Dip mods folder.

Lord tunderin jesus, people dont read the links. At the bottom of ConvertData is a how to on creating .bats using wildcards to do all the files of the same type at once or download the collection of bat files already made. Just use the appropriate bat for the file type. Edit: BTW this info was from some old articles from harpo b4 he released the converter, its how I converted all my files

That does not change the checksum fro multi. Yes just replace sounds with different sound files is easiest http://soase.weebly.com/sound.html EDIT: Not Recommended to change the base game files. Make a mod with just sounds or music. Post back if you need help creating a new mod for your sounds

you can look at the new Diplomacy Forge I am not a map maker but I know looking at some other maps in text helps. Those reference files are out of date so i am not sure what has changed.

Some people have multiple installs of Sins. One updated with Impulse for online and another completely different directory with an install from cd without updating with impulse and the try and find a patch on the net, they're there somewhere.

Your mod folders need to be exactly the same. For Ent and Dip you only need the files that you modded in you mod folder so if you have the hole set of reference files as your mod you need to send that. Or make a new mod with just the files you edited and share that. Edit: as for the port, try to connect with no mods enabled. If neither if you changed the ports b4 you should be good with the default ports

Once in game, goto menu -> user interface. You may have the options switch off for the items in the left column. Turn cin mod off and enable the options then turn cin mod on and watch the toggle.

Its hard to tell without knowing what values you changed but the Dev did point to where your error is. what did you change the expiryTime s to? Edit: compare the modded file with an original and make sure everything matchcase, spelling and placement Notepad++ has an excellent compare feature
