@Armaneus... I'm not sure if the smaller pledges (they can go as low as $1.00 on Kickstarter) that don't offer a copy of the game qualify you for insurance. As I understand it, if your pledge(s) gets you a ship, you have lifetime insurance on the ship that comes with your pledge. On a personal note... I did a little surveying of the Ev

Really good ideas there major--my thoughts exactly.

My comment to my wife at the end of Sleepless in Seattle when she asked how I liked it was, "It's ok--but they blew it in the end when King Kong's giant paw didn't snatch her off the Empire State Building.". Good date movie though.

The best thing is I had a YouTube video telling me it was a 5 minute job. Yeah, it took smart old me 2 days with 5 trips to Home Depot.[/quote] My wife forbids me to do home plumbing anymore after two of my multi-day attempts to do "five minutes" of work in our kitchen and then bathroom. Really like the last one here. Rick Wakeman does not compare--but I like his effort (though I doubt most can handle that much synth nowadays).
A good question. I currently have the crappy start ship "Aurora" but my wife picked up on my enthusiasm and asked if I wanted the game for Christmas. I may bump up to the "Lancer" package here. Perhaps, "Slaves of Sinperium"?... "Minions of Sinperium's Majesty"?..."Subjects of the Sinperium"?..."Sinperium's Servants--Crushers of Carbon, Slayers of Zombies?". Just some ideas. I will allow Stant and Seleuceia to serve me. <span style="color: #

Lol--I liked it.
Thermal paste...less is more. On some CPUs, it's also really easy to reverse mount your sink which is not good. I use a credit card, artic silver and "spackle" it on very meticulously and uniformly. Placing and clamping it down in the most linear and smooth way possible is important too--no twisting about after you get it in place. Scariest experiences for me are getting a board mount where the clamp is so tight the board "bows" in the mid
I forgot...regarding modding...here's a blurb from the FAQ: How will modding work? Players will be given full control of their game! When operating private servers, players will be able and encouraged to mod the game. It doesn’t stop there, though: we hope to institute a ‘mod approval’ process that will allow the best of the best player creat

People who subscribe monthly to the newsletter style products get to participate in a monthly Q&A with Chris Roberts and get exclusive media features and info on the game development in advance. They don't get "more stuff in game" than other players--they get sneak peaks of development and upcoming adds to the game. Pay for it if you want to see it before anyone else. Star Citizen does not have a monthly fee to play nor does it require the purchase of DLC in orde
It sounds like a plan. I will have to initiate you into the mysteries of the Lamp though...all hail the Lamp.
You don't pay per month--you pay once (for life) and there is optional DLC. Everything offered via DLC that affects game advancement is possible to achieve without a purchase.
I am just amazed the thing worked. It will be awesome to see it. Final tally from the site: Final crowdfunding numbers: $6,238,563 raised from 89,668 backers. They will have the forum back up with old posts intact in a few days. The Kickstarter contributors all have to be migrated over by hand so they can also access th
Thanks for the referrals guys! (I got three). Since I last posted they are just shy of $6,000,000 and just over an hour away from ending crowd sourcing. They also picked up 10,000 new contributors. I would have HATED to have missed it. Now Stardock can get inspi

"No Way Out"...I had already been given a tentative contract to serve as a gaffer and extra and got to walk around with the director while he eyed out camera angles. At the last minute they moved the shooting to Uruguay to an active navy ship that I had ironically helped decommission. I never got to meet Sean Young which would have been epic. Darn. Since I posted this yesterday, they have added over one million dollars in new contributions by 7,000 new contributors. Most of today their website has been down to a front page only due to the number of people camping their chat page waiting for the official start statement by Chris there in about eighteen hours. they have already broken all records for crowd sourcing funding. Incredible.
