@boshimi336... Inconceivable ...perhaps. [e digicons]:ninja:[/e] On a gaming note... Here is an article from the Skyrim-Nexxus modding site on crowdfunding that specifically mentions Star Citizen (also Maia and Sui Generis ). More to the point it's a discussion about why crowdfunding is working
Sinperium
I find your lack of humor disturbing.
That's what I'm talking about. [e digicons][/e] Also a forum link here for clans.
You were ahead of your time. I love the Sui-Generis game too but I can't support or play all these games.
Glad you found it--needed a bump. The guy has already hit his goals.
As the originator of the thread *cough* I'd say the point was to answer questions and provide updates on the game--not argue about how much one likes or dislikes it. I'll be posting details here occasionally and would like it to be a resource and not a debate.
As Vader said, "impressive.".
Sui-Generis is incredible.

Hi there! I will say that-- potentially --Kickstarter could be the savior of game diversity. It would be great if they would incorporate some sort of "partner matching" service there where someone could post what services they feel they can provide and what sort of terms they would like to work under and project starters could parse through them to look for developers. You could barter services with other developers and the like and a lot of great start ups coul
I don't have time to play a lot of different games but I saw this one and thought I would mention it as it might have some appeal here. Kickstarter Author's Site This is a procedurally produced universe space sim with missions, planetary interactions, research and npcs. The current work will be a si
[quote who="Stant123" reply="109" id="3284052"] Quoting Sinperium, reply 83I am extremely appreciative of their complete openness in letting people post things that might not be directly in their own interest. But in this case it does directly benefit them as they are a computer games maker and this only solidifies the assertion that there is more then enough of a community to continue operating a business in this market. So the more people that are on board with compute
"Yes" in Squadron 42 ...no in Star Citizen proper--though you will have the ability to weight your "encounter level" with other players in Star Citizen. Chris has stated all players will be hosted on the same shared server and it will not be segregated into "separate universes". Instead a setting will be provided for your encounter level. You can set it for "most prefer" other player encounters down to "least prefer" them, as you desire. <p
We wants'sss it, Precious!
@TorinReborn If the game takes off and gets a gazillion members they might do it...but try starting up a business sometime (I have done several) where you project increasing spending into an unending future with no idea of what you actual profits will be. It isn't wise or practical. Like I said...everything you want is in Squadron 42--which you are getting essentially for free with Star Citizen. Ante up or fold, sir.
I think ManSh00ter has left the building. Come back darn it and give us your stuff!
That's really good question.
So what we need is an eternal multiplayer game that you pay for once up front and NEVER buy anything for again. That will be $2,000 please. If you want ongoing development and maintenance, expandable server capacity and regular driver and OS upgrades you have to pay for it. I can't buy an exclusive "Sword of Gondor" that no one else can ever have. I just have to work longer for the biggest swords. People buying them early won't impact me any m
They are over $6.6 million right now with close to 10,000 contributors. It is NOT P2W People keep repeating this and it's not the case. You buy ONE copy of the game ONE time and you can play online forever without spending another dime unless you want to while still having in-game access to all the content avail

For those who might not have noticed...the forums are accessible again (just not in the header). http://www.robertsspaceindustries.com/forums/
BTW--I have resized with Win 7 and just added the missing line and the tool has worked fine for me.
It is a great game.
