I like all of it! I've taken a break from ashes for maybe a year or so and they still haven't implemented formations??? Something that I've always wanted to do was have preset army formations. I find it annoying when you have archers and brutes together but the archers go in front of the brutes when the brutes should be leading the charge... I haven't played to see if they did something about this but the preset army formation is where I'm going with this. I would

I agree that there appears to be an imbalance in the Substrate. I love the Substrates, they're so cool but I'm a hardcore PHC player. I have experienced several recent defeats against these guys. However, I simply refuse to give into the current meta of Substrate dominance. I will find an answer to defeating them, even if the devs don't do anything to them. One day... One day...
@ BFCOTC I actually don't build medics very often, even in late game. I have a constant build order with my factories which makes a pretty decent balance in units, I don't really think of the number of units, I just think "That's 4 build queues, let's send them somewhere." Though I'd rather not disclose my build queues b/c I've found a formula that works for me and I'd rather not let anyone else have it [e digicons]:cylon:[/e] [e digicons]:grin
I understand the feeling, I actually take advantage of this flaw by creating very well mixed armies. In doing that I can focus on all types of enemies aside from dreadnoughts (My ranked matches don't usually last long enough for them to get one [e digicons][/e] ). Gloating aside, I understand the prioritization system of units though I may be wrong in my interpretation. Also, this is from a PHC perspective which is my main race
Hey guys, I've been playing several matches and I've started to see the usefulness of having an airforce, even if it's just a handful of bombers with a fighter squadron for protection. I incorporated them into ground armies, they actually fall in line WITH the army and fly as slowly as that army. I thought that was pretty useful to keep my planes in tempo with the main force of ground units, that is until my bombers were being shot out of the sky before they
I never thought of that, it makes soo much sense now, thanks for clearing that up [e digicons][/e]
I don't know if this problem was addressed before but I've experienced it on more than one occasion and I wanted to put it out there. In late game I see that my resource income is like -11 metal and -6 radioactive b/c I'm building my armies of cruisers but then sometimes the metal income disregards the fact that I should be losing metal and instead fills my storage to maximum. I couldn't tell if it was effecting my build times but if it is, I would consi
Gratz, I think that this game has a solid base and mechanics that are familiar in an RTS sense but cool with the new mechanics at the same time.
Thanks, I'll try to spam archers next time but usually by mid game my T1 units are usually inefficient in terms of hurting T2 units. Though I don't spam archers as much as I do T2 units. Anyways, thanks guys, I appreciate it!!!!! [e digicons]|-)[/e]
I just played a ranked match as PHC and holy f**k, this substrate dude annihilated me with a small army of maulers. The guy didn't even need anything else to kill my army of zeus and artemis's, i was boned b4 i knew it... I just hope they tone down the damage output of the mauler a little bit, or is there a counter to them that I haven't figured out yet?
