Ditto - tried to get GalCiv 2, was given a similar error message, now I'm down 5 tokens. I sent an email to support, but this overall problem doesn't seem to be resolved!

All of these versions don't let me get past the first option screen - when I do anything, my system completely freezes up, except for the mouse. Someone from Stardock sent me a debug .exe file to check the problem with the movies - this .exe let me play just fine! Help - what is the difference that makes it work? Won't load - debug included in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

I've had this problem with most of the versions I've downloaded - the opening splash loads, goes to a black screen, then my system is frozen solid, except the mouse. Before now, a fresh reboot would allow me to play, but now that doesn't even work. I'm sure it is something with my system, but I have a very clean and simple Win98SE setup. Also - why it is looking in my G: drive for something, I don't understand. The game is installed in D:\Drengin.net - ??? Debug.

Same problem here with the space01.pt_ file - I've tried deleting it in my temp folder, but no dice! Help!
