If you have the icons already you can assign individual files and folders there own custom Icons of your choice, i have noticed if you apply a new Icon package and go to were icon packager is installed, in the temp folder, all the current icons can be added to a collection from other packages and then used as individual as you like. Learnt a few days ago that Icon Packager is not fully supported in Win 11, even though i used edition 5 without issues, but just to be sure i uninstalled

[quote who="[email protected]" reply="5" id="3837185"] after I returned to Windows 10, where Start 11 worked fine, I have reinstalled Windows 11 and Start 11 is working fine so far. Any more trouble and I will try the PURGE advice. I know the best advice is always a clean install. However my laptop with Window 11 and only a few apps installed that are not included With Windows 11 shows 82 apps in the App list. My main computer shows 410 apps. I have Icon Packager 5.10 that was bought as a gift for me , and i have used it for years including on Win11 machine, did not know it was not supposed to work or was not supported. Recently when i set up my 4 SSD Multi Booting System i did try a trial of Icon Packager 10.3, which did not work well at all so went back to Edition 5 and have no problem, peeps setups are so different with some stuff working that should not and vice a versa.
I have Start 11 installed on a very complex 4 SSD Multi Booting System with no problems as of yet. An Individuals set up can be so different from another members system and due to this many things can go wrong with many sections of the setup. Maybe you could buy a used small 120 GB SSD from one of those types of shops popping up all over the place (less than £20) and try a clean install of Win 11 (i find Win11 Enterprise to be more stable than other editions) and see if

I suggested Avast Free, not because it is considered the best, but due to how it's Shields Work. I am sure we have all come upon False Positives before, even Jafo has mentioned them, some protection just deletes the files or sends them to quarantine not allowing you to use them, Avast in the right hands can be alongside other Security programs, very flexible allowing the dropping of shields for false positives you trust very easy also allowing you to restore those files and add an exception w

Just trying to help out the membership as a whole as lots of peeps can fall victim to all sorts of Net Nasties, maybe if after reading, they will at least know the basics of what to look out for.

For all members. The internet can be a fantastic resource but very dangerous and destructive in equal measures, we sign up to numerous sites hoping our Data stays safe and secure. When Scammers attack those sites and steal our details, this can seem beyond our control, but the stealing of the data is just the start of the scammers plans. There true intention is to make use of those details to try and steal and give access to your E Mail, Online Accounts and your finances. Open

Before i skinned or used a theme to change Win11, i considered it Boring to look at, but have thought the same of older OSs too. Can not say my experience is the same as Koogle, for me it is a tool i need to work with, so i do as much as i can to make Win11 suit me, once i get it looking good and in the way i have before with older OSs, i can sometimes forget what OS i am using until i see the Settings window.
