If you are a OD subscriber, it was out on Sept 30th. And they have fixed the bug of not saving configuration settings too. A very solid package. I recommend it.

Sorry for the rant - I was just a little frustrated, and surprised. This has been a long week, and it is only Wednesday. Yuck. I hope I didn't ruffle any feathers. Einy
Can someone explain to me how beta software can be "expired shareware"? The latest version of Virtual Desktops still had many issues, not the least of which you couldn't SAVE any of the configuration options, so why is it that I need to pay for this buggy software? It is especially troubling since I downloaded it from my ODNT subscription. If it were like some of the other Stardock apps that have a "shareware" and a "paid version", then I wo
I remember trying Trillian back in 2000 when it was .5 or something - didn't work so well. But when I became like most with friends on multiple IM platforms I tried it again at .74 - it really worked well. There is only one feature that isn't supported (not even in the pro version) coverence chats. Having multiple people in the conversation at one time is very helpful, but everytime I try it Trillian says that my medium doesn't support it. All my co-wo
The voice of the silent minority has been heard. As a Win2000 user I have always felt out in the cold as people are enjoying the benefits of WinXP. ObjectBar was such a nice compromise so I could enjoy the look and feel but not the full functionality. Sounds like now my functionality will surpass even WinXP. Halalulah Stardock!!! I am happy with my Win2000 again.
Hey, Adam. Just wanted to 1) test these new forums, and 2) see how you've been. It seems ages since we have chatted. Hope the wife and kids are good. Hugs from me. Tell me, will SkinStudio be able to edit all the new features in WindowBlinds and ObjectBar? I'm thinking I'll need to come up with a new Tutorial someday. Hope this post - later, Einstein
I have never liked the New England Patriots. My loathing really started in 2000 when they beat the Rams in the Super Bowl. Has anything good every come out of New England? Ok, there was the Boston Tea Party - and I liked that short lived comedy "Wings" about a small airport on Nantucket. But I really don't like baked beans - so here's some cream pie in your eye. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Congrats.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddl
Are you aware that in India - and I believe other asian cultures, the Male children take the father's first name as their last name, and the female children take the mother's first name as their last name? I knew two married co-workers whose names were Kondal Rao (husband) and Anupauma Gundeverapu (wife), they had a son and his name was Nosgul Kondal. So it follows what you are talking about, but you can see that over time the husband and wife don't re
Ok, I've had this account for a long time now. I think 2005 is the point where I start to use it. After all everything has to have a start. So please don't criticize my goof, blunders, mistakes. I want to try to share what little insights I have gained with using Stardock applications for the last 6 years. I hope that some of this knowledge can help you in something y
Good things come to those who wait - Great things come with a ton of persistance. I'm glad you didn't sit on your laurels and cry, but kept working it. As a happy user of nearly 5 years, I knew "way back when" that WB and OD were the future of the PC. Major Props to Brad and the Boys!!! (no offense ladies - you gals deserve some credit too, but I won't give you a pat on the backside. My wife would kill me <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/hot.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absm
I've wanted to get on the bandwagon of PVRs for some time now. But I know that some aren't offered or won't work in my area. I have Comcast and they won't offer anything like the TWC DVR for years I'm sure. Tivo, Replay TV, TapeItAll, TWC DVR, HDTV DVR - what are the options and which would be the best value?
Why am I still up? I just got done doing the Santa thing - kids getting GameCube games this year. I just checked my email and ran Spybot (my weekly extravagance), and checked my email. Glad I did 'cause now I'm using the Christmas Time icons - I know I've been living under a rock for the last few weeks. The wife hasn't been feeling well, so I had to run the kids to all the grandma's houses today. It was good to see them. But I need to sleep now. Merry Christmas to everyo
The thing is that it wasn't an "original account" per se. I uploaded the skins to the Stardock website, and they took their archive and used that as the basis for WinCustomize. At the time I was instructed to just create a new account. I used the same username, but obviously that wasn't enough to associate my old skins to my new account. These aren't very popular skins, but I really would like to get them updated for WB 4 features, and I really can't until I "own" them. Does that make s
Hey all, I submitted a few skin a LOOOOONNNNGGGG time back. I think before WinCustomize got off the ground. So they aren't associated with my current WinCusto account. How do I go about getting them associated to my current account? Who do I need to email the details? Thanks all. Einstein
Ok - it isn't there so I'll post it here *nervously looks both ways for spammers* einstein47 at starbase47.com And thanks again.
Do you know anything bout WinME (besides the default, knee-jerk reaction of "get rid of that OS")? I have been having trouble running Stardock apps and I think there is something corrupt in my WinME config. Even Kris has said that he has never seen the error messages I've been getting. If you do want to get involved please send me an email. I think you can get my email from my profile - if not, I'll post another reply here. Thanks - Einy
Very insightful - I knew that there was something up with my PC and now I know it is my Java IDE that is killing performance. IBM's WSAD is just a hog with handles and memory. But I am glad to see all the Stardock apps are so low on the "hit list". Thanks again Brad, you continue to out-do yourself for helping all the little guys.
I am having trouble uploading my current desktop. Is there some kind of an issue with moving servers that might cause this feature not to work? Einy
I see in OD that there is a new 3.51 build - is that what I want? I thought I was using 3.51a before. I'm going to try it anyway, so I'll let you know if it fixes the expiration date thing. Also - am I the only person for whom Stardock Central is NOT going to be an option? Sometimes the silent majority is a little too quiet.
Get real ppl ! Free upgrades to WB4 for those of us using Win2000 is ridiculous. Besides that will be MONTHS from now. I want my skins back sooner rather than later. I'm just hoping the "fix" will be available on OD because SDC isn't available for me. Someone up at the corporate firewall blocked the domain stardock.com and I can't get anything except news.stardock.com which I believe is coming on a different port. So If OD ever goes away - I will too I fear. <img src="http://images
I have winME at home and I honestly don't run Stardock apps that often. I used to, but not lately. I'm not made of money, so I will have to stick with my PII 400MHz machine for a few years yet. Sucks to be me. However, at work I have a nice Win2K, P4 1.8GHz box. It runs all stardock apps great! I can see exactly what Frogboy is getting at. So as far as I'm concerned, Win98 and ME are unskinnable OS's. I'll stop even trying at home.
When memories are all we have left - only the good will remain. My sympathies for you and your family. Can you imagine loosing one of your children? That is a thought that truly scares me. http://www.elizabethsmart.com No man is an island complete unto himself each are a part of the whole ... And when one is lost, a part of all is lost as well. Remember there is a difference between Art and Craft. Art is focused on pushing the envelope like Picasso, while Craft is more interested in increasing a user-base or making something ergo-nomic like basic Windows. There are Picasso-esk skins that while creative are completely unusable. You need to decide the right blend of each. I have tried my hand at skinning, but I feel that my talents lie elsewhere (where I don't know yet). I hope you don't take my lead and give up just be
The 2.0 site is great - I can now use it again (the old site was so slow ... but you all know that). /me thanks all involved.
"You sit on it, but you don't take it with you." That woman was a dork to think of synonyms of butt. Or maybe she has implants that can be removed and she doesn't take her butt with her. /me gets of his movie soapbox and joins the discussion.
