Hey guys, I love strategy games and played Civ4 and 5 for a while, but now I want to get into the space games. Well, I just picked up this game and having a hard time understanding it. It is a little daunting for me, and I was wondering if anyone can guide me or point me in the right direction toward like a walkthrough or a good tutorial video. I watched a couple on you tube, but they weren't so much a tutorial. They were more like a let's play and they don't really explain.

Ok I know how to use it it to gain shards and even consume shards that are in enemy territory but is there a way I can build a second city with it or do I have to create pioneers to do that? Thanks... Also can anyone recommend any lets plays that could help me learn the game better?
I am having a hard time winning at this game and although I am starting to understand the game more as I play I was wondering if there is a basic build order to use so I can give the AI somewhat of a battle lol. Thanks...
Sorry for the double post
Hey all in all learning the game and was wondering when you level your hero by defeating monsters and completing quests is there a way to level up the spells you have or is that done automatically? And aside from your hero leveling up do you get any points to spend on certain skills or traits or attributes for your hero? Thanks.

Starting to get the hang of game and enjoying it a lot, but have a few more questions. #1 how can I see how many shards my city is producing? #2 How can I obtain crystals and other resources without making an extra unit to capture it? IE: Is there something I can cast magically to get say a crystal or a shard? #3 How do i obtain more spel
Hey guys just started playing and I like the game but I am confused about a few things. First which character is best to start off with to learn the game? Also how can you tell how many move points you people have left and how do you know when it is time to end your turn? Other 4X games I have played End turn icon will show up or it will auto jump to the character that is up to move next. Maybe I didnt notice it and maybe the game does do that but any help would be appreciated...Thanks...
I got the this game free after purchasing the first game which bombed so I got this as a free upgrade. I love 4X games and wanted to know how is it and are their other classes other then mages ie: Bards, thiefs etc...?
I can set my scout to auto and just let it do its thing? Or do i have to Micro it?
Does it have a steep learning curve. Whats the best way to learn this game?
Hey guys, I just started my walk down 4x spce games with endless space and Distant worlds and man it is quite fun. Anyways, I am still a noob with this genre and tried Sins of a solar Empire which I liked but was not deep enough although fun and that is more of a mixture of RTS and 4x I guess. My question is how is this game and how does it compare to the other space 4x games out there? Is it hard to learn and have a steep learning curve? PLease let me know, I am on the fence on whether I am
[quote who="MrUnknownEntity" reply="1" id="3199236"]Think you can specify a little more at what exacly you need help with? Is it getting a good start? Or... If I get you right though, I would recomend starting a game against an Easy AI. As soon as the game starts pause the game and open the research window and read what everything does. If you really want to be sure not to get owned while learning the game add another AI on your team and set him to Medium, also be sure to lock team
Hey guys, I really want to like this game but I am lost. I played the tutorial but I wish they had a playthrough campaign or something and tell you or guide you what you should do next. Can anyone play with me online maybe vs computer and give me some tips so i can practice on my own? I would really appreciate it. Thanks all...
