If just follow your instruction, I cannot get Offline Gmail & Calendar to work. Please see the video to know the apps. My suggestions are both keep the icon of Gmail & Calendar, available to open Chrome after opening them as well as display notification (number of new Email & Calendar events) with the icon. Thanks,
