Waitangi Day commemorates when the English signed a document with the Maori (natives of new zealand) in 1842. It is foundation document for our country and basis of many arguments to this day. Well I certainly don't want to go all Jack Nicholson on my family. But time alone behind my computer playing FE sounds like a good time. However, we are in the middle of our summer so I will probably have to split my time between games and playing in the po

Having sunk 16 hours into 0.77 last week I can wait to see what 0.78 will bring. Now guys... we have a long weekend here in NZ where we celebrate Waitangi Day - be nice if you time it is so I can play for three days straight forget the wife and kids and be all anti-social and stuff.

Maybe cities could build a teleport portal - and you can only hop between those cities? Or maybe the cost of cloud walk is dependent on distance and army size? so smallish army (4 units) may take 200 mana to cover 10 tiles, but 300 to covere 12 tiles,

Very good post. I hope the developers take this into account as I feel you have some very good insights. I am not very good at analysing games. However, I do have fun with FE. Main things I find lacking (and you mention them all) is use for strategic magic, why bother. The strength of offensive magic, I just roll on in with earthquake spells and storm and wipe out massive armies in seconds. The cities are bland. Researching higher levels is just not w

I have a second monitor to the right of my main monitor. If I bring the mouse to the right edge of my primary monitor it does not scroll unless I get the mouse in a very small sweet spot. Scrolling of the map should occur the moment that the mouse is past some minimum boundary.

I have just got access to FE - I see it is only 32mb, is that correct? Does it mean you have to have WOM installed for this work? Not a problem but I was going to download at work I may as well wait until I get home I think.

If god is omnipotent could he make a rock so heavy that he couldn't lift it? :) "I refuse to prove that I exist," says God, "for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing". "But," says man, "the Babel fish is a dead giveaway, isn't it? It proves you exist and so therefore you don't. QED." "Oh dear," says God, "I hadn't thought of that," and promptly vanishes in a puff of logic. "Oh, that was easy," says man, and f

oh please drop the philosophy 101 - who made the watchmaker? Why should there be a watchmaker? It is futile proving or disproving gods. All you can conclude is that given the evidence it highly unlikely that there is a god or gods. Afterall you don't presumably believe in Thor, Loki and Zeus why not take it one step further?

It sounds like you guys have a sound policy for development. I agree with most people here, take your time get is most of the way there. Then go beta. I have lots of Skyrim to work on in the meantime.

I did not like Morrowind, I found it dull the graphic style was awful, all those weird trees and the graphics for people looks horrid. However, I did get into Oblivion and I am hoping I will like Skyrim. I have only played to the end of the introduction and so far had a crash to desktop and struggling with the weird UI. Pressing tab to close windows, what is wrong with escape? I love open style RPGs where you can do what you like and you are not attached to in

Finished playing it last night. The subtleties of the story were lost on me. It wasn't as open as I hoped it would be. The combat has amazing animations, just wicked. All in all a very polished game, great graphics, big story but at times it felt like I was watching a movie and waiting until I could "have a go". I was glad to finish - just in time for Skyrim ;)

I don't see how AAA games are for console gamers. COD etc are AAA and FPS are meant to be played on PCs with keyboard and mouse. I much prefer games that ramp up graphics for high end rigs so that you get to use your lovely dx11 cards etc while still having a playable game on older dx9 hardware

A man who chases two rabbits will end up with none. I say make sure the SP experience is awesome. I don't care about MP, I believe it should be an afterthought - a nice to have feature but not necessary. These games are just too complicated to get right that I would rather they spent their time and resources getting the single player game working as intended.

Just watched episode 5 and I have decided to discontinue watching falling skies. This program is not going anywhere, it is just rehashes old formulas. Cliche plot development that you can see a mile off. The acting is barely above adequate. I really wanted this to get better.

it is entertaining enough to keep watching. It is a bit light. *minor spoiler alert* It doesn't convey the post-apocalyptic setting very well. Where are the millions of people? Dead? if so where are their bodies? I would have liked to see more about what occurred. It certainly stretches credibility. Why enslave children? Why not enslave all humans? Why do the aliens show affection for children? Why do the insectoids live by themselv

TO THE DEVELOPERS Here is my saved games. This is 1.19l - to crash all I need to do is play a turn, next turn and then usually it will crash soon after. i.e, just move heroes around upgrade a few cities etc it doesn't seem to matter what you do it will crash. The game is set up on a large map with all factions present. I am playing on windows 7 64 with 4GB memory. Please download from here <a href="
