Not every game has to be a deathmatch competition. Those of us who want a MP clone of SP are mainly in this catagory.. PBEM would be no different for us than just playing it together other than the added wait of sending each other our moves after each turn... Why everyone insists that everyone who plays multiplayer does so in a compe

Impulse at least should be made multiplatform, then people can download the non-Windows version if they change systems at some point if the company made a version for that system. This would make Impulse more appealing and availible to a wider audiance, so it is likely to have the greatest gain for the cost of porting it.
There is no chance to update the game if you bought it directly through impulse as you already download the updated version. So I suppose this should not be a problem, otherwise I would be really angry.
There should not be, as the deal with updating was so they would have a record of you having the game by the deadline. If you get it and download via Impulse it comes out to the same thing.

And there may not be any of it left by the end of the game, at which point a the things that use it will be unavailible.

When you have mined all the iron in your mine you will need to find more elsewhere. Also, when you win a battle you get to recycle the equipment of your opponent. Say if a unit cost 1 iron to build, you scoop that iron up from the battlefield in loot. Or if you like, scoop up a percentage of that 1 iron.
No. Just no. Limited resources are eith
Simply increase the amount of resources mined, as the city levels up. This makes no sense, "My lord! We have two thousand people in this city, there is no more advancements we can make as a civilization, and I'm happy to report that the amount of gold we can min has never increased once!" I almost think of the resource system as a tech tree with some basic paths and some advanced paths. Yes, I can mine gold to be used as a raw resource. But I can also mint coins if I want a more evolved economy for my empire. Or I can make jewelry to enhance trade. I d

It will be going to be based around your population and will focus on cities rather than resource tiles for the most part. As it is changing, it makes perfect sense to evaluate if there is a way to make the economy work better in the new model.
*sigh* No it's not. Simply piling more stuff on doesn't make a better game. It just makes it a bigger game. It's better only if it supports what the focus of the game is. A game like Anno 1404 is focused on production chains and trade. Grafting a super complicated combat system onto that wouldn't make the game better, it'd just take attention away from what the game is actually about. Similarly, something like

Is it a complex city/empire builder that happens to have adventurers, war, and magic as support? If so, then great! If not, why do we want an economic system that would consume so much more time and focus then whatever point of the game is supposed to be the focus?
