Fall 191 AC I've found a location on the magma river that looks useable... instructing my researchers to explore further and make haste with the discovery.
Things are heating up... I wonder if your mana will last to keep the storm at bay.
I'm going to apply some lessons I learned on Seans' mod when every stack was a killer... first kite, and when that doesn't work, try some wardens, lol. I do have Freeze as well. This will be interesting!
Turn 130 - FP 121. Highest are Greenskin at 173, lowest are Centaurs at 65. I am now in 2nd place. The campaign against the Elves is going well. Suffering few losses... however that Deathstorm is frightening, will try to kite it away from Algar. Skeleton King stack will head south for further conquest. Skrymir is defending the homeland. Outside one stack, the Shadows have been quiet. In each city I'm alternating a building, then a unit to either replace losses on the campaign or bolster d
Summer 191 AC After defeating a Crag Spawn stack threatening my newly conqquered fortress of Algar, I turned my purple eyes to the southwest... and for the first time in a long time, my jaw dropped. Not figuratively, it literally dropped and I had to put it back on again. Anyway, what I saw redefines the old saying "a storm is comin'..." I MUST have this power! <img src="https://dl.dropbox.com/u/19969679/Fallen%20Enchantress/1.02/SW/FallenEnchantress_1353282684.jpg" a
Summer 190 AC Orkoth fell and when he did, I stomped on his face and continued towards Algar. Algar is mine as well, nothing a little Contagion and minions couldn't handle. Captured the Great Mill. The Elven Kingdom is crumbling and my beauty is running away... the chase is on!
Winter 189 AC Orkoth is brave, I'll give him that. But very, very stupid... leaving his city walls and then taunting the Skeleton King to engage in a one on one battle of honor. Honor is impractical, might makes right. I think I'll teach that lesson to you right now.
Winter 189 AC So you Shadows thought they could sneak up from the southwest, eh? With you personally and your wolf-man Ankis? Do you feel the cold seeping into your bones? A little freeze hurts no one. Skrymir will meet you on the field of battle. Edror, had you not heard Elven blood was smeared over the walls of Eajir? You doubt my strength and wits? Elven blood is being spilt in the north and the south. Now to Shadow Blood in the west. You will be assimilated. The "Threat":<
Cool. Slightly off topic and it may be a rather stupid question but why is the engine called Kumquat?
Excellent read AIlan. If I hadn't just discovered the great fun this mod is giving me myself, this would have convinced me for sure.
Thanks! Glad you like it. [e digicons][/e]
Turn 120 - FP 89. Highest are Greenskin at 178. Surprisingly, after I took the first Conclave the next city after that was a Fortress... and it's well protected. A stalemate of sorts exists on the eastern front. Down south, defenses were bolstered and Eajir is now a fortress with castle walls. 5 city militia, 2 archers, and 8 overland units defending. Western front is quiet... focus the next 10 turns is to continue to train more troops, hold the line down south, and see if I can press my
Winter 186 AC Like a hot undead knife through elven butter... Alberich is mine. Haste on myself, Contagion on the enemy, self-repair from Tear of Cyndrum, and some salted pork (I mean fish, err chicken) led to a victory. 15 souls were shackled and sent to Gravehold. They will feed my new minions. Far to the south Sowien is sending a 6 stack army towards the fortress of Eajir... Skrymir is marshalling the defenses. <img src="https://dl.dropbox.com/u/19969679/Fallen%20Encha
Turn 110 - FP 67. Highest are Greenskin at 162, lowest are Centaurs at 53. Pushing east with Skeleton King - found our first target, the Elven Conclave of Alberich. It is weakly defended, will be moving in for the kill. The Greenskin declared war on the Shadows which is good for me. The Shadows are between me and the Greenskin, thus I'm hopeful Shadow's units will be kept busy. There is a stack of rampaging Ophidians on the western front but nothing I can do about them now. They are t
Spring 186 AC The Shadows joined the war on the side of the Elves. Tis not difficult to juggle one ball, yet alone two. I tire of this diplomatic dance anyway... have you ever danced with a shadow or elf in the pale moonlight? I ask that of all my prey...
Winter 184 AC The long awaited day has arrived... Sowien, wanting to be closer to her future King, has declared war. Very well. Relations are also hostile with the Shadows. This could widen to a 2-3 front war rather quickly. Skeleton minions, arise, our conquering begins now!
Hi HF - note this 1.5i tooltip that mentionds undead archers have 0 attack.
Turn 100 - FP 60. Highest are the Greenskin at 133. Lowest are the Centaurs at 56. Relations with the Elves are degrading fast... now hostile. War will be here soon. Now have groups, thus can make some 4 unit spearmen and defenders. Expansion and consolidation is nearing completion, time to focus on building what I have and shoring up armies and defenses. This is about to get good. Save .
Summer 183 AC Warmaster Skrymir led a campaign against a bone ogre southwest of our lands... and it did not turn out well. Although victorious, Skrymir managed to lose 2 units of bone spearmen and suffered a grievouos wound called Shrivelled. I may need him become a governor sooner rather than later. In addition, our scouts provided a report of a wolf-man leading a shadow army. A wolf-man? These reports cannot be accurate... Warmaster Skrymir's wound inflicted by the bone
Spring 182 AC A Plaguebeast ride fit for The King...
Turn 90 - FP 57. Greenskin are highest at 118, lowest are Centaurs at 51. Internal monster lairs are all now under control. Threats all exist at borders. One of the Shadows champions, Naegach the Stonecutter, actually finished off a Great Wolf and her brood which was a nice bonus - I got the lair. Have contiguously connected all settlements except one thereby negating the 15% unrest penalty. Opened up a few treaties with the Golems and Centaurs - none are non-agression pacts. Getting ready to
Summer 180 AC Skrymir delivered... his letter indicated he cleared the Fiery Gorgon lair and surprisingly, it appears we can recruit them to our side. I've tasked Skrymir to determine how to sway their opinion and join our ranks. I could use their fiery range attacks to supplement my hordes of bone spearmen. Prepare yourselves, Elves, prepare yourselves... <img src="https://dl.dropbox.com/u/19969679/Fallen%20Enchantress/1.02/SW/FallenEnchantress_1353200203.jpg" alt="" widt
Spring 180 AC Those rock spiderlings were deviously more difficult than I assumed. The damned things gave me a black eye, a black eye! How does the undead get a black eye? I will repair the damage using my will. Although an eye patch would appear dreadful and inspire terror in my enemies.
It's so awesome looking, well done HF!
Turn 80 - FP 39. Highest are Greenskin at 117. Founded 6th city to the east near the now cleared cave bear lair. There is an extremely dangerous butcherman lair which includes a corpse spider. Sov and army are stationed at the new city in preparation of clearing that menace. Skrymir and his stack are about to do battle with the Fiery Gorgons and prepare further settlement to the south. Internal borders are quiet, no wars as of yet. <a href="https://dl.dropbox.com/u/19969679/Fallen%20Enchantre
Winter 177 AC Clearing the blinded cave bear on the eastern boundary was no problem. As a just reward, I received a Crown of Thrones. Beware, enemies, for I am rubber and you are glue, whatever you do bounces off me and heads to you. <img src="https://dl.dropbox.com/u/19969679/Fallen%20Enchantress/1.02/SW/FallenEnchantress_
Summer 177 AC This creation continues to fascinate me. My scouts report they've found a hybrid of demon and fire shrill, aptly named a Demonshrill. It appears they are hardy to fire, can web, and are adept at penetrating armor. Must devise a way to bring them into my fold... <img src="https://dl.dropbox.com/u/19969679/Fallen%
