Brad - same game as above. Note Kraxis sovereign suicide plunge into my kingdom despite an overwhelming advantage in FP, military technology, and unit quantity. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/19969679/Elemental/119c/93.EleSav Why would the AI do this especially considering he could have brought units down to escort? I have a more powerful stack 2 tiles away. Kraxis is by far way more powerful than I am

Brad - here's a save of a real game I'm playing. Note Capitar pop locked at 5 and not doing a daggum thing. Consistent with my above test game. This is random medium map, ridiculous across the board, custom sov, normal pacing, max players. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/19969679/Elemental/119c/79.EleSav [e digicons]:cylon:[/e]

Maybe look into how they are starting their economy?
I bought the game in Sep '10 after being super impressed with GalCivII. Started playing a normal game, rolled it, then moved to ridiculous and rolled that too. Came to the forums to find out what the deal was with the release and the rest is history. <p

Performed a second analysis of 1.19c here: https://forums.elementalgame.com/405436 . Please see reply #1 to that thread. Summary of Observations: URGENT PROBLEM: Capitar was in a coma until S60 and then suddenly snapped out of it! All sov's are grabbing goodie huts. Yay! Tarth spouse was sitting on the capital in season 48 but that corrected itself by season 60. Recommend giving sove

Started a new game with the same variables to observe consistencies. Only difference is randomness of AI starting locations. Saves: S12: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/19969679/Elemental/119c/119c_AITEST2_S12.EleSav S24: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/19969679/Elemental/119c/119c_AITEST2_S24.EleSav

Have you tried another game to see if it's again just Umber that's smoking weed?
Heh, I'll do another test this weekend and advise to see if there's consistency across factions or if issues vary across games.[e digicons]:cylon:[/e]

Season 3 of new 1.19c game and Janusk is MIA. I have his advice disabled but it was also disabled in prior builds and he showed. Here's a turn 3 save. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/19969679/Elemental/3.EleSav

I've always had it. What I did was create a single thread for myself and for each patch, post every time it happens (started this in early Feb). I update the thread title to the latest patch version. Please see here: https://forums.elementalgame.com/404863 I hope the squeaky wheel will eventually get the oil. [e digicons]O:)[/e]

1.19c Strategic Analysis here: https://forums.elementalgame.com/405436 Summary of Observations: URGENT PROBLEM: apparent broken xml tags with Umber. They'd rather smoke weed instead of conquering the world. Kraxis, Tarth, & Capitar all looked like they were puff puff givin' but then amazingly decided to get off their butts in the later seasons. They must have had bills to pay. A

Prior 1.19b analysis here: https://forums.elementalgame.com/405148 Purpose: Analyze strategic AI behavior to help identify issues and hopefully help improve the game. Scope: Basic block and tackle strategic actions such as exploration, expansion, city improvements, etc. Scenario: Large custom map built from "Ovia" - created an island so I can cycle turns, reduced starting positions to 1
I usually also go for medium. Partly because of the memory issue (and the game get's rather slow after a few hundred turns on large maps) and partly because I kinda get lost with large maps and Dozens of conquered cities (still didn't find out if or how you can raze them like you were used to in the beginning).
FYI, You can raze now at any time - it was removed from the tech tree.

Troj - I'm guessing none of that good stuff can be implemented, along with improved AI, until the root cause(s) of memory issues are fixed. Every single change probably has to be measured for potential memory impact (either positive or negative). Then again I could be talking out of my ass because I don't have the details nor am I a programmer. I probably should stop speculating though.

Now maybe it's the "cup is half-full" guy in me but I have a feeling once the memory ceiling issue is resolved, we may start to see some rapid improvements in AI and other things. The game may quickly become fun to more people. Then again, I could be wrong. I think it's fun now but the AI doesn't challenge me enough as it stands.
