@brash: Can you not chain lock with sed? You can, theoretically, but the difference between Sed and Oak is she gets pounded on by big bad UB and Oak while doing it, while Oak can lock, then probably run away. @hedgie: If you were that well geared compared to him, it should have been trivial. Ppap was extremely well-geared, I had an okayish kit (bought cit upgrades & creeps, that kind of asymmetry is fully just

After this match: http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/game/1615776/player/121483/ We were leading 7:0 in kills and were +1-3 levels ahead all the time :/ We have even killed both the UB and the Oak when they locked our portal. Didn't change the outcome. The Oak just kept chain-locking, nothing could be done about it. Shield III is cheesy to the extreme and requ

Another update to the Sedna section. Buying priorities order and some thoughts on early Girdle benefits. When I think about it, this build is a compromise between Blood-Silence and Cloak-Pounce. It is not as specialized as either, but I find it consistently strong 1-15 (with only a slight relative decrease in power very late game). The strongest levels are 6-10, IMHO, but 1-5 and 11-15 are also very good, so it's a more universal build, I think, and better suited for PUG games. Of course

Uh, i was mostly replying to miriyaka's last post, IN1. Ah, sorry. Missed the clause regarding the due respect for hard mod work :) As a rule, though, great practitioners (=players) do not always make great theorists (=balance arbiters). I think the ideal synthesis would be someone like Hedgie: a respected (retired) player of renown and a walking DG mechanics encyclopaedia.

Now please go on with your sugarland DG balance discussion, but at least be respectful with other PLAYERS (i repeat, actual PLAYERS) ideas. Nom, come on, that was unnecessary... First of all, I believe this Cas guy is an experienced player (if it's Pangea/Red-One). He lacks deep understanding of certain game mechanics (and of certain less than popular DGs), but he's surely no noob :) I agree,

wrong, QoT in late game becomes weaker not stronger, the longer game lasts the weaker she becomes, To be precise: your QoT gets weaker as the game progresses. No reason to doubt that as you say so yourself. agree she is powerfull in late and mid game because of her shield which is hard to take down No, BS is not a great skill. Overpriced cost:efficiency-wise, inconvenient to u

i mean it switching between mods is dangerous(and bloody annoying) becasue it is like 2 sec extra silence(with max silence of enemy sedna it is like 7 sec impossibility of using anything) , a marevlous gift for your enemies, during this time you are not allowed to use your skills and consumables(wand of speed, orb of defiance) and favor item(cloak of night, dcv, hotb, rodm), you cant cast sigil (the most important thing!) can't lock, teleport, use potions etc etc, SW is not always go

cmon IN1, i don't bite neither take offence, speak your mind Sorry to disappoint, my point wasn't I am afraid of your potential reaction or something [e digicons]:D[/e] Anyway, since I have your generous permission to speak my mind now, hehe, I won't waste this unique opportunity. about QoT, hmmm, there is only one thing i would change in Qot if i could, changing-mode time, if somebody catchs you when you are changing mod

Calm down, Cas (I think I recognize Pangea's style and puntctuation, plus that 'i' left uncapitalized, plus a penchant for mythological - or, at least, Greek - nicknames, plus arrogance... hmm... well, probably a coincidence, nvm me). No one is forcing these highly hypothetical changes on you, really. BTW, you bring up a few interesting points, but your general tone is off-putting, so I won't address them ;)

Have done this. It works fine, and didn't seem overpowered at all, Ah, I must have this mod, so I can destroy ppl late game leading creepwaves to their cit and Pouncing the hell out of any fool that gets in my way! Pwn3d, n00bz! [e digicons]}:)[/e] Oh, wait... They should have the same mod enabled... Bad luck, I guess. especially given the short duration. Keep in mind that this is a L15 ability, at the end of a tree that nobody maxes out d

I'm 33 so its probably not good how many times a shift my boss says "I swear, he's like a ****ing little kid!" Oh noes! (c) You cannot possibly be older than pacov and brasher! No one is older than pacov and brasher! Btw, Dreamcatcher who plays a lot of LoL lately, says the vast majority of the community there is comprised of people less than 18 y. o., while what we have here in DG... Uh... A lot of married folks, many of them 30+. I think it's a

If you mean using cuss words and other general silliness yes I do enjoy talking like a 14 year old. Although my spelling, grammer, and punctuation is probably about as good as a 14 year old as well. Heh :) As long as your reasoning is sound (and it almost always is, unless you are arguing with Shane over who has the biggest ;)), I don't give a damn about your grammar :)

@my master Hedgie: QoT struggles early game? That's news to me. That's because there is no QoT in DoW2, I guess ;) Now, seriously, if you consider my whole post instead of focusing on the words "QoT" and "struggles" exclusively, you'll also see that I said: "she kinda struggles w/o helms " and "Blood QoT <span style="text-decoration:

Here's the catch: based on currently commonly accepted DG tiering, both QoT and Occ don't really need to be any more powerful. Of course, Reg = epic fail late game, unless a better player wants to handicap himself. So maybe really giving Reg an interrupt is a more pressing issue, so to say. In other words, Occ with interrupt will become T1, QoT will be a very very very high T2 (I think she's a low T2 as it is), while Reg... well, he will proba

My comments were based on the aura applying to dgs only. Well, all aurae in Demigod affect creeps, so I don't think this mechanic can be changed. Let's say it should at least affect her. Minion-only buff... WTF?!

22 Replies 11,480 Views

That said, consider that with cooldown flags + her ability to reduce her own cooldowns... she could pounce like every 4-5 seconds. This would result in a never ending speed + evasion aura. It should be changed, but not to that, imo. That's arguable, of course, but if you think about 3v3 fights where a sedna could silence, then pounce... then pounce... then pounce... then silence - its a decent bonus. Is it op? Maybe not. Probably still not&n

22 Replies 11,480 Views

Two things I personally would like to see are: (1) QoT's Spike Wave becoming an interrupt (for example, a 0.1 s stun, like Sed's Pounce), and (2) Sed's Inspiring Roar applying a 15% speed/15% evasion aura in a 15 y radius (her usual aurae radius) for 5 s -- ofc, should affect her as well. Note these changes are hardly game-breaking, they are more in a careful restrained re-balancing vein.

Thanks, Cow. I'll try early Dems next time. In fact, Erebus is so powerful and safe, I had no problem playing him in relatively skilled matches once I've learned to Mist longer animation skills... But more dps is always very nice. I think it's the only top-tier DG I'd be willing to play more or less regularly, beause at the very least it involves some micro-management and a totally unique skill (Mist). I find UB and Oak overpowered (in a stupid way: you don't have
