The major flaw of that evaluation system, IMHO, is UB was considered 3 pts. UB should have clearly been the only 4 pts DG (at least on Cataract). That would limit UB-including combos and allow pro teams to play good non-UBcentric combinations.

no - not one of my alts - assuming joke, but oh well [e digicons]:)[/e] Ah, you had to ruin this one, huh? I just wanted to get some respect! ;)
BTW, Inerz, a lot of ppl seem to think IN1=Inerz (got asked 4 times about it lately). It's a great opportunity to proclaim: nooooooooo, we are not the same person (even though nooby me takes it as a compliment)!!!
Hmmm.....Well lemmie see who you played against................nope, unforgivable. haha Well, they weren't bad. I mean, certainly not Kira's/Nom's level, but solid. Moreover, OFF_ is Pacov's alt acc, and we all know it. Oh, did I mention I've given up using blood, vial or Bots? Pure MCP, baby. I dont care who it is. I need to try me some MCP DA. hah That's a Pacovian heresy ;) Seriously, though, I think it has a lot of potential on certain DGs. I
Oops, I did it again! (c) I played a match with Kira (Rook) and nomilarac (Reg) as QoT this evening! Forgive me, brasher, for I have sinned. Well, the opposing combo was UB-Oak-TB, so maybe it redeems me somewhat. I'm loving Occ, too. I like how he's safe with loads of hp, bishops and reliable escape mechanism! ;) Well, he also deals an insane amount of burst damage with exploding balls and double butt-jump, but that's tangential. Who needs those kills, anyway?
Well, I knew I wasn't seeing things the +0's on both health and mana are definetly there when you get hit by electrocution but maybe the regen is still happening. I'll have to check that out today. Where? On the stats screen?
@brasher_01: Thought a bit about your assessment and advice (becoming a badass instead of supporting one, etc.). Look, I'm a support player (and, at this stage, not a bad one), therefore I naturally want to support a capable carry player . I'm perfectly fine with the opposing team having an equally skilled carry, not to mention with this setup I'm almost always stuck with, like, 25-30% guy as my 3rd teammate.
Play Hybrid TB! I can play a decent pure Ice TB, but I don't like hybrid TB. I begin to feel like I'm Thudercles or something [e digicons]O:)[/e]
I actually vaguely remember the game. It was my first few games as sed. I think both of our sednas have evolved greatly and probably ended up at the same point. Mix between support bitch sed and assasin type. I’m not much of a support player even with sedna. I still like her but I feel like people act like idiots around her and then expect you to bail them out. Not a good match for me. I want to kill the whole game not sit around healing your ass. Yes, I was hugely infl
But yeah I’m thinking OAK would be good for you. What do you think? I'll definitely give it a go. Though, honestly, I'm always reluctant to play top-tier characters (not just in DG). Why? Cause: (1) Everyone and their grandmother plays them; (2) You get used to some sick shit like a nearly absolute safety of Shield III + TP, for example.
Oh, and about that BS mana spent/restored ratio... Mana cost:mana restored BS I 500:675 BS II 800:1100
I'm going to have to look at that electrocution again. I am certain that I have seen +0's on regen when used on me. It doesn't work. The issue was addressed by Uberfix 1.02 (you can do a search here for more info).
For some reason i thought you knew oak. Well, I've seen that necro-paladin guy with huge axe a couple of times, but we are not acquainted personally [e digicons]O:)[/e]
As you like - I'd wager we are generally agreeing here, though. Yes, no doubt.
Comment and advice appreciated. I don't take it the wrong way (unless you wish to imply I like to play on stacked teams only, which is... uhhh, quite a huge bit of a stretch, I'd say I mostly play with the underdoggu... uhhh, I mean, the underdogs [e digicons]B)[/e] , and surely not afraid to lose). Now, I cannot become a badass, sorry to disappoint :) A man should know his limits. Moreover, I believe (perhaps wrongly, judging by my DotA experience) I can support mos
Evenly matched games are not the same at all levels of play. noob v noob, mid v mid, expert v expert. All are different. Just saying. Well, we won't discuss noob v noob here: weird shit is happening during those matches. Most games and players I play with and against are mid+ by your US-centric taxonomy, I suppose :) That's perfectly all right, though a lot of them got much higher grades from Renz (was curious as to adequacy of my nooby
I've played some games as Tower Rook on one of my alt accs. I was doing okay (your mediocre Tower Rook, nothing special), I just don't like this kind of playstyle. Requires a different mindset, and I know for sure I won't get good enough with this DG, so wasting loads of time and energy on studying him is sort of pointless.
I think that sometimes folks see a ub and decide they must have one, without taking into account the talent level of the players in game. Kind of a knee jerk reaction like WIP would make in the past where he'd refuse to play if someone on his team choose a dg that he felt made the team a weaker combo. Anyway, bottom line - sometimes you have to take a ub to counter, but I'd argue that its not necessary 100% of the time in a fairly matched game. Wip still has
Well, I'm not talking about premade teams, obviously. In PUG games, the dynamics are: (1) for example, doggu hosts a game -- I join; (2) some experienced players join and begin bitching about the lack of balance; (3) a newbie/bad player joins, and is attached to me and doggu. Now, what happens is this: the newbie dies a couple of times > our main carry/dd player (be it doggu or someone else) begins to... ahem, criticize his skill most vehemently [e digicons]:banham
I don't understand how on Earth UB-only players don't ever get bored (especially the good ones: Iz, Kira -- well, okay, Kira is 50/50 UB/TB...). I know for a fact that Renz and doggu are usually quite annoyed when they see they are forced to pick UB. I think the only situation when I can justify picking a UB for a pro player vs a UB-less team is playing with one or two newbies on a team.
Well, yeah, but the ultimate lightning balls are just nice, while Acclimation is simply game-breaking. I don't think I've ever won a single match with a UB-less team vs a UB-enhanced team, unless our team had a smashing advantage before the UB hit level 15. I'm talking about skilled matches, of course.
Thanks, Pacov! I guessed I am supposed to suicide the balls non-stop, since otherwise their performance is really sub-par. Thanks, Brasher! Yours is a Uberfix-only build, though, as Electrocution does not work w/o it.
Thanks, Jon, that's helpful. About those balls... Any special tactics to their use? Yes, I understand the benefit of maxing this tree out by lvl 15, but how do I use those exploding balls efficiently?
[e digicons][/e] Thanks a lot Shane, that answers a lot of questions! I'll watch the replays vs Zen_God's team to see your usual style.
Judging by the replays, pro Occ Cow/Shane style is BotF, Chain Lightning, Blast Off, Brain Storm. Is it possible to take King of Minotaurs to compensate for hp loss and Cloak of Night to secure double Blast Off damage? Or not viable?
