Well it certainly sucks that I have to build these super fast ships since I can't take the dread lords head on. So basically the campaign has been reduced to teching up while having 1 or 2 ships that run away from the stupid Dread Lords, how exciting. At least it's payback for their cheating ways of knowing where my planets are if I have as hip docked, and also for always knowing where my star bases are. If you don't complete the Achillees mission which is where I'm stuck at don't worry. Just do the other easier mission cuz this one is a pain. People build smaller faster ships to force the Dread lords to chase them while they invade with transports. Search the forums if you're interested in beating this mission but for me I think I'll just do the easier one because this one ticks me off.

They play skirmish because some missions in Dread Lords are designed with the player in mind to fail. That's why you get alternate scenarios that are easier. I think that was a bad decision.

Seriously Stardock why is the campaign so hard? This game is supposed to be fun yet on "Normal" difficulty the Dread Lords in the Achilees Heel mission just run me over. If they get shields at 14 and weapons at like 114 because of the random thing at the start there is no way to win. I dare you to try and play that scenario and show us how it's done. There are like zero walkthroughs onhow to play this campaign. The one's that are, come from the forum posts but people take like
