Why the hell there are no true emulating software to merge all 8 cores into one All those Intel Rapid Technology **** useless softwares which do nothing but leeching some of your memory. Why nobody ever made such softwares, is it too complicated?, VMWare can do it but u have to use VGA Standard Card driver so no directx have failed testing it but it can emulate 4 cores into 1. Homeworld 2 and every old games would receive quiet a nice boost. Homeworld 2 lags hard too w

It's on a different, modern game engine with different potentials, even then, all the games I play against involve at least 3 humans and use mods. I know your playing against at least 1 AI. That game also hasn't been artillery and shield spammed to hell (like all my games end up being). Do that, and get 3+ hours into the game, and you'll see what I'm talking about.
i play again
dont you want sins to run like that three mini-freezes caused by FRAPS so far, can't record @ 60 fps, it is 30. yet the gaming isnt affected, no crawling in the mood feelings like sins can cause. its always smooth and i can make a more epic one if needed you will see that the game never slows down or get on your nerves. CPU aggressivity will, meh i should have disabled nukes.

I've been in several games where it's lagged by mid game and far from anything even a fraction of 1% close to that number. ok you guys say Give it a rest [e digicons]>:([/e] Beside the game gets VERY slow when u reach half the fleet capacity in a 3vs3 battle with small fleet size and pirates disabled) past a certain time, the game crashs and generate a .dmp file that weights 50Mo of spam battle logs. with rebellion i have a few savegames that if i launch my fleet of 16 capitals into battle, the game crashs to desktop, pretty random tho, sometimes i kill enough ennemies and the game
Quoting Boobzor, reply 9 I dont know if the Core i7 Extreme Edition can run Sins better, Probably. neg i have it - (stock clocked till i have time to setup watercooling) the cpu usage is barely 25% only 1 thread out of 12 (hyper threading) is almost maxed.... gaming 2 humans vs 2 comps is a nightmare after 20 hours
Jeezus christ 12 Cores on the extreme? i didnt even know
But first (REBELLION Unbreakable map) https://rapidshare.com/files/398847261/Unbreakable.zip Try it yourself and let me know if you know any tricks to run this thing smoothly. I know this isnt the kind of maps Sins of solar is commonly offering, it's just very different and massively defensive or was it offensive? hmmm either way u can reach the overcrowded status in no time. In this video. 15 fps. 5 when zooming too much. And i was being kind because i made it worse. ive managed to reach the maximum units the game can handle. It crashed back to windows desktop, made me laught the first few seconds until i remember that it pisses me off. This video recording has only a few ships fighting, FAR from being epic, but its already lagging hard. Pointless to go any further i know i can make it running @ 2 fps and then the game crashs. On this map you can see these Volcanos planets suffering massive attacks from IA Nightmares as they are the only way, the entrance to your hive pretty much. and gl if u didnt prod enough ships to survive this, he pushes with allies and the planet area is empty within a minute. Its not rare having 700 Illuminators and a retarded ammount of fighters in there. In a fight, when a team starts to show weakness, it goes down even faster and youve pretty much lost the game if u were all-in. Most of t
the framerate is like that without FRAPS too, FRAPS writes to the SSD drive and Sins is running from other harddrive for fewer disturbances, Some major games like BF3 gets a huge drop in the framerate yes, impossible to record @ 60 fps. but i can record many games without any lags. With Sins, i have 6 inactive cores so i think FRAPS isnt a big deal. Sorry but I wouldnt be lying about that, i played this game many hours without any softwares running in background to make sure i have 10
It wouldn't work in this case. The problem is that languages like C++ can't be easily broken apart to execute functions out of order or in parallel, due to potential side effects. Parallelism has to be explicitly added at safe spots in order to have things still work. Just trying to have the CPU scheduler do it on the fly is going to ask for trouble. Now if it was written in Haskell on the other hand...
Hmmm,
Indeed, last patchs have done so well to trinity. Altho, the 3v3 battles with Nightmare IAs on some deadend special maps are still not possible im afraid. That was the way i liked it [e digicons]X|[/e] Maybe we only need a tool or software that emulates all 8 CPU cores into one (Virtual Machine softwares excluded). I still pray for that, i don't want to launch that topic again, it has been debated many times already, But

Hello, i had some issues running previous version of sins of solar empire, i am the author of some well-known laggy videos posted on Youtube. Massive overcrowded laggy battles with my CPU barely running to 13% usage, and no it was not caused by graphic cards, just the CPU idling when it should not. Sorry if i am straight Does anyone know if Sins Rebellion has a new engine / platform and will be multi-core CPU support, or is it just a modified Sins based on the
