if all you have to worry about is the rising price of gasoline, consider yourself lucky. There are many problems around the world, everwhere, ranging from rabid racoons to insane dictators. Gas prices just happens to be a very popular discussion right now, and with a bit of humor, I just wanted to see people's opinions.

Anyone hear about the up and coming Hydrogen Feul Cell Cars? 0 pollution and over 100 miles to the gallon!! only draw back? no more sweet roaring of your roadster...or in my case, an 11 yr old Honda Civic with about 200,000 miles on it.
Hell, it's hard enough finishing high school. you know whats funny about that is, I'm already accepted into a great Enigeering University, yet it's Math and Physics that i'm having trouble pulling through in, lol (too much partying! )
Yeah? It was 1.40$, and it pretty much stayed there during Clinton's terms. Only this year it skyrocketed up to 2.29. Well, economically speaking, it was still more expensive under the Clinton administration, due to high inlfation under Bush, these gas prices may actually come out to be a bit cheaper than prices under Clinton. Still, it means th
He once lit a match to see how much fuel was in a train tanker That sounds incredibly like me.
It is easy to blame one person for all of our woes, but we as a people have to take responsiblity at times also. And yeah, it is easy to blame one person. Eh, i just like to blame him for this, cuz it's fun. I obviously know it's kinda out of his ballfield. But along with becoming important, no matter who you are, comes much laughter provided by
Americans shouldn't complain too much about petrol [gas] prices.....all they need to do is look at the pricing around the rest of the world... Very true Jafo, it's just that we americans are also suckers for big beefy cars the eat gas like candy on halloween. I know in Italy, they've got some ridiculous prices, but then again, it's quite rare th
Hmm, You know what I think? ______ <(please "such gems as personal insults, racism, and ... death threats" here) lol, jk. I've had many creations rejected, i don't care that much. I'm not that big a skinner anyways. Hell, it's hard enough finishing high school. at least one's in. good enough for me.
ToolWraith....the person making the music available via kazaa is 'stealing' via distribution.....and you are guilty of what is known as 'receiving stolen goods'.... Hmm, good point Jafo. Still, I believe that if used correctly, this can become a great tool for most artists.
Anyway, i'll REALLY be ticked off if the government takes action against P2P sharing. There are SO MANY other Pirating and theiving going on somewhere on the web or even in physical form somewhere down an alley in downtown NYC. But you know, what are we gonna do these days, we have an oil tycoon as president and the terminator as Cali's Governer. (i'm sure he's getting tips form our wrestling governer friend Jessie Ventura) <img src="http://cagle.slate.msn.com/politicalcartoons/pccartoons/ar
if you steal music, you're not only stealing from the record company, but from the artists too. Well, you are only stealing if you are keeping the music with no intent of purchasing the music form a record store OR redistributing it as an album or mix where you probably know that the user also has no intent of buying the artist's music. In
perfectly put
ToolWraith, lets say you are selling that wallpaper, for $10.You make a lot of many and stuff but then from 1 moment to the other your sales stop, and nobody is buying anymore, and then you notice that someone has put up your wall on kazaa. I'll answer that with this: <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class="m
majority of the Kazaa users tend to trade copyrighted files, not free music. Unfortunately for all of us, that is very true...
When P2P first started to get popular with Napster like 3 Napster uploaded from the users, and shared froma central server... not the same with KaZaa...
Also, I'd like to add, that P2P file sharing has been BENEFICIAL to more than 70% of the artists out there. You see, a true artists dream is for their work to be seen or heard everywhere, and inspire people. Through programs like Kazaa, Artists were able to spread their music like wildfire around the world! It's just some other artists who have already made it to the top that hate P2P because they make big shows, which costs big money, which comes from the label, and thats why the
Styl skinner wonders if ToolWraith would like it if I uploaded his wallpaper under my name, just the same as kazaa users do. You know, you make a very strong point here. Still, when we dl music off Kazaa, we do not share it under OUR name, it is still, the artists work, and the artist still gets recognized, just no paid... However, I'm not like
Hello everyone, i've been reading up on this whole P2P file sharing contraversy, and realized, after the 250+/- lawsuits, has the overall number of P2P users decreased? Are we scared? I've noticed that I rarely use KaZaa now, infact, i havn't touched it for atleast 2 to 3 weeks, whereas I used to be on it everyday! What do you think? leave your opinions, too!
STRONG BAD!!!! lol "scroll button, scroll button, 1,2,1,2. something somethin something, and let me scroll with you!"......."EH! STEVE!!"
I beleive EVERY artist has an effect on other artists and their music, whether it be good or bad. Trent Reznor had written the famouse (or infamous) Nine Inch Nails song StarF***ers in direct effect to Marilyn Manson, and they had a little fight going on for a while. (all is calm on the western front now, however). Mettalica has DEFINITELY inspired many of todays artists, i agree with Radial and Kona all the way.
Oh, and btw, my term 'japs' (for some of u who didn't quite know) are basically selfish little brats that resemble the girls from the movie 'clueless'. U know, only care about clothes and guys, and not the real problems with the world. Sorry if anyone is offended. I've just learned to be really disgustipated by them over the years.
Well, i've been reading everyones post, and then i kinda forgot about this whole thread for a very long time. the summer's over, and their new album is out. What do I think? well, St. Anger was a complete disappointment. their live show...well, they can still give their fans enough energy to love 'em. I was never such a great fan of them. As far as metal goes, i'd say they were to most hardcore American metal band back in the day. Sellouts? well, i never actually think of bands
Yea, they're playin this summer! But, who here besides me believes that they have become sellouts? No offense to those hardcore, head-bangin' fans out there, but they're playing with Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park! ...grr (well
Make sure your images are all .bmp, and the correct size. i've gotten that msg b4, and i just needed to change a file from a jpeg to bmp. but then again, it might be something else. as for the error msg, i have no clue what it means.
