Cheap spammable ships is TEC's specialty and it should stay that way IMO. I think Advent gameplay (like ship synergy) is what needs help, such as perhaps making the Domina more useful/cheaper, or making the Guardian with Repulsion easier to get and/or more effective. Another suggestion I posted some time ago was that Advent's shields should be significantly stronger than they are now, like by a factor of 1/4 or something. Their ships (caps especially) are just less durable for

"Missions" already often feel quite stupid or pointless when an allied AI player or something (or the AI controlling this council) tells the player to carry out some mission which is clearly not a good idea for the team. If a player is failing to build defenses on some world, or doesn't want to take some neutral world, it'd probably for a very good reason. When the AI tries to order you around, it seriously detracts from the "feel" of being a player in control in the game when

If you want to play a large game (like the common 5v5), often you have to wait 15 minutes or more for current ongoing large games to finish, but if you're on during the peak hours (evenings, afternoons sometimes, weekends) it shouldn't be too bad. For regular Sins games, at least.

kbroke seems to have a tendency to love his lone caps way a whole lot... in a good number of games I've seen him go extremely cap-heavy in the beginning without building a decent defensive or offensive fleet of frigates until it's a bit late. Including this one. I don't get it. Shield bestowal? The mitigation would help a lot if structures are taking damage... but it would be a whole lot better for it to never to come to that, and to rely on a fleet instead to take

Maybe if the devs were willing to scale down the cost of culture SB upgrades to a cost comparable to what they're worth...?

Maybe you could have one or a few small structures ("Cloak Generator" or something?) inside of each mine area which uses the mine cloaking mechanism which has to be destroyed in order for the minefield to then dissipate after 60 seconds or something? Potential gameplay-feel problems: it might only require one scout to uncloak them all in order to get rid of that whole minefield area. Could possibly be fixed if a new armor type was created for the cloak generator which could only be da

Once you think you have the basics of the game down, consider coming online again (via Ironclad Online, or ICO). Playing against humans adds a whole new dimension to the game! Make sure you have the Diplomacy expansion though, there are very few (if any) players online on the other expansions.

I recently experienced a bug I vaguely heard a few other people mention and experimented to identify it. What happens is, when you send a ship to phase jump to another gravity well, upon arriving at the other gravity well it occasionally does a mini in-well phase jump to another edge of the gravity well. The ship does not orient first: upon completing the main jump it simply engages its phase jump engines again (with the usual 6 sec charge-up or so) and then reappears on the edge of t
