Quoting Heavenfall, reply 1 It depends completely on how you play it. Both weaknesses can be minor or huge. I rarely hire more than a champion so Cruel is a great choice for me. But if I go for a Path of the Governor sovereign (or just generally any defensive type) I wouldn't want Inefficient. I see some of your points here but I will definitely always take inefficient. Path of the

19min left. Gained back 5kb/sec. XD
I think we have a winner. 'First 1.0 Bug' award granted! Congrats? XD
I would love to see each faction sovereign have their own bi-directional story within the sandbox mode. Playing each according to their 'natural' incline, or to resist/betray and swap sides. Each according to their inherent circumstances. Each eventually leading to the climatic master quest, which is only to be unlocked once your characters story line is complete. If this happens, FE becomes the first 5X game EVER!
I'm agreeing with CogBurn here. Unless you can verify it as a bug, no 'First 1.0 Bug award' for you. :p
I haven't spent much time lining up Wildlands yet, but looking on the new FE site, does the 4 wildlands listed make sense when cross examined against the 5 elemental lords? I thought there were some that didn't have lords?
I take back my praise. I can't believe you don't have a list of spells included in the manual. /facepalm I want to read about the spells :I
Pretty sure that was done deliberately. Allows for them to work with the Heigeraim thingy. That's where all the specific info is going to be.
I would imagine that Stardock has little or no control over that... They sell it to steam and steam takes care of the rest...no?
Oh man, Janusk is DEAD?
I'm missing something here....
Long live the beta team.
True dat! I know I only came onboard at 0.951 (the beta '4' where they introduced city leveling), but I truly hope that a bunch of us stay connected here to help out with 1.1 and future expansions. I plan to anyways...
They did mention a period of transition in the day 1 vid. Could be they're doing their 'bait and swapping' at the moment...
My download has decreased my 30kb/sec. Quit hogg'n the bandwidth!! [e digicons]XD[/e]
So....as 1.0 downloads I figured I'd do some rambling... Who is going to be the first to post a 1.0 bug? (the race is on) [e digicons]}:)[/e] And REAL bug....no feature request, balance concern, etc. Did you know? FE Beta forum no longer exists? [e digicons]x_x[/e] We've been dumped into the General forum. <a id="ctl00__Content__LinkAuthor" class="Article_Author hand" title="Click author name for more options." onclic
Quoting Frogboy, reply 6 According to our testers, it takes about 30 hours to finish the Fallen Enchantress scenario on average. OMG that is a game upon itself. I did not think it was going to be that long. I was thinking 5 hours or so.
I was thinking 'tutorial'. 30 hours is epic!
scouring of FE beta off of my system. and downloading of 1.0 onto my system. What else is there to do?
so many downsides with steam...
Downloading now!! Woot Woot! Sadly I only get 700KB/sec so I must wait 1hr before playing. :(
Quoting you28, reply 77 It has quite a few bugs (none of the ones I've mentioned have been fixed) and quite a few oddities in the interface (none of the ones I've mentioned have been fixed; esp the ability to use books in the trade menu or a very quick method to switch to equipment window). Then there is a personal preference for hex or oct over squares. So are these bugs or feature requests?<br
On a different note: "It's not often talked about but there's something around 100,000 people who are going to be getting this game for free and it matters a great deal to me that they are happy with it." Wow, that few? I thought War of Magic had sold better.
100,000 is a lot. What would you do with $4 million ? ;) But I do understand, as sale numbers go, 100,000 is small

Ironically....I'm still not quite over the flu...and I'm GLAD!! XD 20min (approx) and counting! (else I'd be at work tearing my hair out)
Quoting Heavenfall, reply 3 Morrowind was better. They really went a step backwards by making the game console compatable. I totally agree, Morrowind was an amazing game. It was dark and atmospheric. I did enjoy both Oblivion and Skyrim and played Oblivion for a good while but found that i didn't play Skyrim for quite as long. While the graphics are improving (as they should) the gameplay is gett
I agree with Kantock, BG2 transcends both lists above and is easily one of the best games ever made.
BG2 would have been on my list if it wasn't for Planescape Torment. Takes BG2 and puts it on its side! That won't stop me from playing BG1 & BG2 when it's re-released with improved graphics though. XD
