Those spells shouldn't be lower than 25 per cast. IMO, 50 per cast was a really good balance. It was enough not to abuse it, but it you really needed it or wanted to gain a strategic advantage, than it was there to use. Players should easily have enough mana in the game (yes even Gilden) to use the spell at 50 per cast if they needed to. Afterall, that Alchemy spell is straight abusive.

I mean, rescue a Kitty??? Come on!
Maybe Stardock is just toying with us in the beta?

Stealing princesses and rescuing them. Revolts from a city as a new hero gets just a little too full of himself. Trades. Treaties. Backstabs. Plot. Plot. Plot. Granted, there is backstory to each of the factions...but HOW does that effect the gameplay?? I
Have you ever used Lower Land? It takes 6-12 casts to do anything. So that's at least 30 mana.
30 mana is nothing compared to the game breaking stuff Lower Land can do. I fully expect to pay 300-500 mana for the spell, and that's STILL a good deal.

I know this kinda drifts off topic a bit, but I really don't like that city ZoC overrides outpost ZoC, no matter the distance. 2 squares away from a city should be priority ZoC towards that city. 1 sqares away from an outpost should be priority ZoC towards that outpost. No city/outpost can be constructed in another faction's ZoC I've had situations where the city ZoC has been 4 squares away, and I want to outpost beside to h
Depends on your settings. Basically, I still crank out pioneers first but I need troops to expand out of the early areas.
Granted. Settings mean alot. I would imagine that most beta testers here are playing at a world/faction difficulty level of at least challenging. I think that it's really good that troops are required in the early game in order to expand. That's a plus. May I also assume that

Some of the biggest problems I've faced in 0.983 is that troops were at the bottom of a long list of items that need to in that city queue: Pioneers Resource Improvements City Improvements <l

Then the enemy sends in a single militia and takes the city. You think that is a good balance? There is no reason to have defenders only work once per season. It's a bug and needs to be fixed. Currently I have to teleport multiple stacks of armies away to make sure they don't cheat. I also have to wait a turn before attacking again. It's a re

Yeppers. Auto-roads still have much to be desired for. Derek has mentioned that some fine tuning of the system was going to be looked at, time permiting. Honestly, I think it's pretty low on their list. It doesn't cause crashes, and there is a way to manually build roads...if your lucky.

I mentioned it before, but it's been awhile. Can we have a bunch of 'escaped' stories. Seeing the same one every time just seems too non-rpg. He was left for dead He bribed his way out He hid in a nearby patch of trees etc etc There is a thread that has a tonne of them somewhere...
Quoting mqpiffle, reply 253 I would prefer they made these spells level 3 and keep the 50 mana cost, but that is not their design goal I guess. I suspect they did this because there are times when people start in non-ideal locations and need to bridge themselves out of the bad spot. I was thinking maybe 10 mana would be sufficient for the purpose. Because you don't want people to game the map e
