Just make sure the wind doesn't blow too hard on your wildings and kill them all. Such a weak unit.
It's kinda similar to a 'slave rush'. Having 24 wildings running around taking empty outposts really pulls resources away from AI factions. Let's you build faster and costs them the difference. You end up winning via attrition.

You should really really really start playing Stormworld. Preach on, brotha Sean!
Lol. Yes, I can see myself eventually heading in that direction. Ultimately, I'll be looking for a mod that pulls in many mo

Interesting article. Intersting read. I can see why 'Disjointedness' is on his list. I think he is correct in saying that 3 games (rpg, 4X, tactical) are trying to co-exist in one and that they do not quite mesh yet. There is no real 'story' being told in the sandbox mode, so RPG has been, I won't say completely slashed, but definately partially hindered out of the equation. Out of the 4 ways to win: You have 4x war,
I know. The AI is freaking amazing at guerrilla warfare. I just had a massive army circumvent a mountain pass and hit my southern outposts. I got wrecked and then another major offensive hit the pass, so I couldn't leave it to go deal with their guerrilla attacks. Lost a ton of potential resources and had to start training subpar units. It was by far the best AI war I have ever faced. I still think I am going to win though, because I held the pa

The last patch....still so much to do... I'm not just talking 'wishful features'; lot's of game balance and tweaks and fixes that still require attention. Nevertheless, I suppose that's what v1.1 will be for. XD
... Please remember that this game is really about Magic. I don't have any problem with people being able to play without a true Magic user, but at the end of the day if we can't use magic to rule the world you're not being true to the reason this game exists.
I've been saying that about essence since 0.951. No change yet.

Good Morning Well, I think I'm going to wrap up this 0.983 game. It's season 220 and the game is getting BORING. I'm at war with Gilden and Tarth, but they can't stop my single force of 4 heroes, no matter what he throws at me. Tireless March allows me to defend my entire empire with this one majestic force, and being Pariden allows me to significantly abuse Destiny's Insight so that force still levels at a decent rate. (and I know that in 0.984, troops shoul

Is it supposed to be easy to play God? Agreed, much to low IMO.
Agreed. 5 mana is WAY too low. At 50 mana, it felt like a pretty good balance as it usually costed 200-400 mana to adjust a section of terrai
Quoting BlackRainZ, reply 219 DO NOT nerf spellcasting. It needs to be more powerful! Seconded. Spellcasting still feels kind of weak at the moment, and there needs to be a good incentive for a spellcasting character to actually specialize as a mage. Nerf traits like evoker and warlock, and there will be no reason to specialize in magic damage, as it will simply not compare to mundane

There are many camps and quests that don't seem to represent their status properly. The Assassin Demon is a perfect example. It's a 'weak' encounter. Really? Everytime it kills a unit, it's full health again. This should be medium. The Alchemy Quest is ssooo easy, yet it's set to be a 'Medium' quest. Should be 'Easy'. I would have thought these status' would be relatively dependant to the army you currently have selecte
This -25% attack / defense does this also apply to when we complete quests in other people's lands as well? Say I spawn kill the butcherman quest inside an enemy land. Do I get a -25% attack / defense when completeing that quest?
yep @OP Definately zero bias there...definately. Nevertheless, bias not aside, I do agree. I don't think -25% atk/def in enemy lands is the righ
Units get a -25% to attack and defense when they are in enemy lands Booo! This might seem like a clever fix to make attacking enemies harder (thereby making the game more difficult). In reality it is going to punish the AI as much as it punishes the player.
Agreed. This mechanic seems WAY too artificial. As <a id="ctl00__Content__RepeaterReplies_ctl07__LinkUser" class="hand"
