i meant to say the stardock apps should be made available to the public.

I don't think "kicking back" money to the artists is at all warranted. No one forces anyone to upload here. I think the non-stardock apps should be available to the public because that in turn exposes their applications and the non-stardock apps should be for subscribers or a certain level of "class" (for lack of a better term - not sure what the correct word is for level here. I know that for skinners that are uploading quality content there should be an automatic subscription considering the s

well i didn't bother reading this whole thing (16 pages?) but i know Wincustomize will always be open because you need a venue for skins for your apps - otherwise you're screwed. I think if you make the Stardock apps free to the general population and the other non-SD apps for only skinners and subscribers.

The Skins Factory is having zero speed problems. We're set up to handle a terrabyte of download traffic a month and our dedicated server is on rackshack. Some of the library is connected to Wincustomize's library but we'll be updating that shortly. Most are available though.

I'm wondering where you got the stats that say mozilla is gaining on IE. After reviewing the stats for our website IE has a 97% usage while Mozilla has 0.8% usage. So i'd like to know where you received your facts from that says whay you're saying is fact and not fiction. Thanks

It sounds like the origin story from the Animatrix dvd. What happens when the robots say "enough - i want my freedom". Then we get into the Terminator storyline and the human race becomes toast. No offering a more exstensive skin is a good idea. But not including standard features is what i was referring to.
Oh and pixtudio's success is in their artistic value, not because they release free ones. When it comes down to coughing up the cash, i really doubt users are going to say well Pixtudio gave us a free one last month so i'm going to buy a suite this month. They are going to look at the quality of art and ask themselves how much do they want it. That will determine the sale. In my humble opinion of course.
You don't cripple a skin, man that's just wrong. You sell it or you don't.
If you're happy with them that's good. I certainly wouldn't want you to be unhappy owning something.
Look at Windows XP. I think so. I wouldn't own a GE audio or video component if you gave it to me for free. appliances yes, Audio or video... hell no. Oh and they make great lightbulbs.

First of all i own both. I have seen mac programs crash many times more than PC programs. The days where mac users can say they have a better, more stable OS are long gone. As far as productivity, my PC networks 1000 times better than my mac. I can leave shortcuts to folders on my desktop from other PCs, boot up and go right into them. With the mac i have to mount the drives every frikking time. It's a joke. Mac is a pretty OS but thats about it. I would never be a "switcher". Then we can talk a
