IM holding off on any more details regarding my issue.. WIndows 10 1809 is around the corner, and maybe just updating windows will a hole new build might fix the problem (assuming the memory leak issue is DWM.EXE directly and not caused by deskscapes it self) and yes fully disabling network services and a few windows server related dashboard managing components brakes my current setup and can force me to have to restore using a System image made that same day.. <br

so I did something a bit different, Because using a "clean/Diagnostic" boot brakes part of my network/server tie-ins, I uninstall the app and ran my setup with out and DWM.exe performed as normal... re-install deskscape and watched the memory useage slowly scrawl up... (its still leaking out) (current useage 1.4gig+)

currently sitting at 2.47 gigs (DWM.exe) … Restarting with a clean boot... Ill post my results tomorrow.. in the attempt to do a "clean" boot I ended up pooching my entire install, apparently windows hates when I start tweaking (disabling) services, and what not, Also WIndows "diagnostics" boot is useless... I also found out today that my sever and my in house network backup and restore solution works... (in case any one taking notes : always make nig

Deskscape is massively memory leaking on Win10 1803 X64 with 3 Monitors Single video stretched across all 3 monitors (currently leaking 5.5GIG of System memory) Ether 3-way in NV surround @ 5760x1080 (combined) or 3-way separate 1920x1080 same memory leak results. From my tests its only happens with 3 monitors.. stretching a single video 2 monitors has no issues (or at lest not that I can tell) No other StarDock software installed..

Heres the deal I have 3 monitors (2 Horizntal + 1 Vertical) Could we get a option to spam a video over a set number of monitors instead of just a single or all... I like to spam 1 video over 2 monitors and have another video on my thrid monitor by it self.. so 2 Different video over 3 monitors.. (1 video spamed over 2 monitors and 1 video dedicated to a single monitor at the same time
Right now Deskscapes uses WMV or AVI files only, so just convert the MP4 to one of those and Deskscapes will see it [e digicons][/e] This converter works good and is free : http://www.v

I thought ,maybe part of the leak was due to the fact I only have 1 card and had the box checked.. I notice that one causes the most amount of memory to be used pre 1/h of running... ill update to 8.50 and see if anything changes on my end

the leak seem to have stopped when I unchecked the options above in the deskscapes apps.. I can quite literally watch dwm.exe eat memory away when I check the boxes vs un check the boxes.. if I have to I can even make a video of it in action

16 Replies 26,711 Views

doing some testing the leak seems to happen the gratest when I open Deskscapes and have the 3 boxes check under settings > advanced. Ones the cause the most leak is Correct aspect, and Enable support for additional... can not tell if having paused dream... has any effect on the use of dwm.exe memory print or leak

Will do... I do a full restart on the pc and let a dynamic dream run for a few days straight.. I tapped out at 1.3GIG of memory in use... and with 16gig of system memory windows told me I ran out of physical memory..lulz on another note . I can't strech dynamic themes over multidisplays.. bummer another note.. Same video using "Animated video wallpaper" dose not leak dwm.exe but same video on deskscapes dose.. shrugs since my rest
