I'd be fine with bringing down both the damage and AM drain as the numbers I gave are probably OP, but I'd be hesitant to bring them down too much because then the Coronata gets outdone by the Radiance or Dun
[quote who="Volt_Cruelerz" reply="1" id="3174481"]I think we may need to rethink the way we consider the Coronata.. Note that due to the buff, Subjugating Assault is actually quite good against frigates. Unity Mass on the other hand is something that specifically targets large targets. Perhaps a better path would be to make it something that is more useful against starbases, capitals, and titans. AM drain/disable abilities? This would turn it into a u

The advent are all about late game fleet synrgy, the TEC are about having a strong economy. Strong economy generally means TEC excel at early game pressure and late game wars of attrition. TEC generally wins late game direct confrontations chiefly when their economy has a large lead so they can field a larger fleet. In general this means in a late game fleet scenario the TEC fleet isn't supposed to beat the advent fleet in a direct confrontation. &

I'm glad to see the Coronata is starting to get some attention with the recent Subjugating Assault buff. That said, the Coronata still has some pretty severe unaddressed issues. The Problems: First off, while the buff to subjugating assault is nice, one fundamental flaw of the ability is still present: It does absolutely nothing against capita<span style="fon

Since the devs seem determined to keep the current form of Unyielding will, I just had a thought: What if the Advent rebels could start rebuilding their titan as soon as unyielding will activates? That would make the ability great as the invulnerable Eradica could stall for time while it's successor is rebuilt. Even with the opponent controlling the time and place of it's activation, the heavy reduction of that period of vulnerability when you lose a ti
Malice prorogation is based on post-mitigation damage.
Funny part is Vasari rebels are OP and advent loyals are UP.
Honestly I still think the best idea was have orkies need an upgrade to be able to jump(ideally a 2 rank upgrade that applies penalties after jumping at first rank). An orky with out 6 combat upgrades instead of 8 would be much more reasonable to deal with jumping into your system.
whatever they are must be stupid overpowered if the vasari can't faceroll them.
do we know what time they plan to launch?
Oooh, now that we have a tier list I really need to up my troll game.
Hate to be a proverbial wet blanket, but we're starting to get a bit off topic- would sooner not see this become another argument over the legitimacy of stardock's balancing methodology. I get some that some people are frustrated, but I'm starting to get sick of seeing so many threads hijacked by this debate which generally IMO isn't very productive.
But you can manually give attack orders?

Introduction: It's no secret that the advent Loyalists are at present a weak faction. I've spent the last few days thinking about what exactly makes them weak and more to the point how these problems could be addressed with simple changes which are actually a reasonable expectation this late into beta. By and large agree. But in addition to the unkillability, the AM drain on the kultorask is WAY too strong at later ranks. It renders frigates obsoletes by outhealing their damage output and even worse makes capitalships obsoletes by VERY quickly running them out of AM. 300 AM from the entire enemy fleet is ridiculous. SHouldn't be any higher then 150-180 at rank 4. Also, the ability returning 100% of stolen AM

And/or perhaps, Strip to the Core may be raised to a tier 8 research. Or perhaps, this ability will be much more balanced if it only works when your Titan is in the gravity well. Changing the tier of Striped to the core means pretty much nothing as lo
Add it to one of the advent loyalist culture techs- they could use some love anyway, even with their culture techs culture really isn't all that viable.
My only complaint with making fighters counter corvettes hard is that IMO, one of the main strategic niches of corvettes is countering carrier capital ships. That said, just reducing their damage type against fighters would be fine(hurting their AA capabilities). Making fighters kill vettes faster though I think would be risky as it would hurt their ability to counter one of the things they really should counter. Also one very easy to turn nob is make the
What they really need is their own damage type. They do almost as much damage to LF as they do to LRM frigates- and considering their mobility, so long as they have the firepower to counter the latter(which they are supposed to), they likely will still have the upper hand on the former. Not to mention their damage type is just too versatile in general(there's a reason previously composite damage wasn't available until late game heavy cruisers). Simpl
yeah, no capitalship debuffs needed- just have first rank of the capitalship corne labs tech give 1 cvil lab and the second rank 1 military lab. 4 labs per capitalship is ridiculous- 2 would be much more reasonable.
