I think that has more to do with the way topdesk implements its flipping effect than stardock making windowblinds incompatible with flip3D (you'll likely have to ask topdesk to fix this problem, not stardock in other words). In any case, it's a lot harder to get 3d aero effects on xp than on vista, because XP does not have DWM functionality that makes a lot of the blur/transparency/realtime thumbnail effects of vista possible. <a href="https://www.stardock.com/products/sdcentral/" title

Sounds like a great idea, especially the cursor tracking. And of course, there would have to be some eyecandy involved too...
I've done that, to no avail. I have an open ticket with stardock right now, still trying to figure out a solution.
have you tried a clean reinstall of windowblinds instead of just updating through SDC?
I had this problem at one point a long time ago. I believe it turned out that the source of the problem were some new SCSI controller drivers that were part of the nVidia chipset driver package that I installed.
I had the non-skinning problem, although batch files ran fine for me. The non-skinning problem has been fixed as of the latest 6.02.025 version of windowblinds, at least for me.
I know it's possible with javascript to resize and reposition windows... a quick google search will give you the resources to do that.
For those on systems with ati chipsets, try this: http://www.driverheaven.net/modtool/
I've noticed this in all of the past versions of windowblinds on vista. When applying a skin with a transparent AND blurred taskbar, there's a weird reflection/lighter area behind the start button on the taskbar. This is especially noticeable when the taskbar is set to have more than two rows. Notice the light bands on the left side of the taskbar: <img src="http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/9145/59
Here's a game to play when you're bored: Given a starting and an ending entry, try to link you way through wikipedia from the starting article to the ending article. You may only click on links within the article itself or under the "see also" section; you may not leave the website; you may not click back on your browser. Example: Ball ==> War ball - Columbus - Viking - reformation - invasion (goes to page "Ottoman wars in Europe") - Military of the Ottoman Emp
Nope. SDC tells me activation is successful, but when I click on the dreams, it gives me the same message.
Do you have administrator priveleges? Did you try uninstall/reinstall?
Does anyone know what the differences are between the native player and the internal player for video dreams under deskscapes? Are there any benefits to running a dream with the internal player (I'm not sure, but it seems to run with slightly less cpu usage, although it also stretches the dream in a weird way when I select stretch with cropping)?
In SDC, the dream is part of the dream pack taht you can see by expanding the little [+] next to deskscapes. It is named "Dreams" and the description says "Desktop Earth, 3d Cube, and Exotic Plasma Dreams." I however have not been able to get any of the dreams in this pack (except for 3d Cube) to activate; I started another thread here about that although no one's answered it yet. Hopefully you'll have better luck getting the dreams to work. <a href="https://www.stardock.com/products/sd
you're not using logonstudio vista, are you? (that only works on windows vista). The older version of logonstudio, with a compatible logonstudio skin, should work on winxp media center.
I don't think vista's media center recognizes .vob files. You can try renaming the extension to .mpg; or you may need a converter (try vob2mpg)
yea, same problem here; only happens to instances of explorer.exe and iexplorer.
I've installed the dream pack that shows up under deskscapes on SDC, but when I try to click on any of the three dreams (desktop earth, water dream, watercolor dreams) it gives me a message that "content activation was unsuccessful. This product appears to have been validated on a different machine or OS installation..." However, when I try to enter my email address and objectdesktop serial number, it says no registration found. When I right click the dream package in SDC and select activate, ac
Hmm, I still have the problem with the dreams in the dream pack for deskscapes. Every time I click on desktop earth, water dream, or watercolor dream, it says content activation unsuccessful, and it prompts me to enter my email address and my serial number. My Object Desktop serial doesn't work, and it says that it cannot retrieve the information. I was under the impression that these dreams came free with the object desktop subscription; am I mistaken? In any case, I can't even find the water o
OK. I figured out what the problem is. For some reason, the content activation through SDC doesn't take special characters in the password field (to access your stardock account); on a whim, I changed my password to my stardock account and removed the non-alphanumeric characters, and everything works fine as far as activation goes now. It's funny though, because before, I was still able to log on and retrieve updates and everything, and I was also logged on successfully to the discussion boards.
I'm using 2.51.512 build 164 of SDC. Same thing happens when running as administrator; I get a window saying error activating such and such program, error 0, with my email and my password. Activate.log displays the following: Using silent activation with null serial mode. Application start: 2008-1-18 23.27.44 Silent mode Mode 2 Submitting activation request... Download: success Result parsing error (2) Error activa
Every time I try to download an Object Desktop program off of SDC, download and install works fine, but when SDC tries to activate the program, I get an error about not being able to activate it. When I right click on the program that I just installed and click activate it, it gives me the same error window about not being able to activate it, and then SDC simply locks up and crashes. I CAN however activate my programs manually when I run each of them the first time and enter in my info into the
another problem: when you click next page, filters (including the current vista ready, wb6 ready filters) are not remembered.
