Microsoft is asking vista testers to give feedback on the interface. A forum has been set up at Link for users to post comments. One of the big threads is about the "windows classic" interface... we shouldn't be too concerned about that though, since as soon as vista ships we'll be customizing it ourselves with windowblinds . damn... you should add logon-studio to the list of non-od apps you should update. That hasn't had an update for ages... what happened to the talk of a new version thats supposed ot be coming out? I remember hearing somewhere that you guys were working on an update.

same problem here, running the latest betas from stardock central for both windowblinds 5 and windowsfx. recently though, i've also experienced freezeups when windows is starting up... explorer locks up completely whenever i start up, and I can't do anything unless I kill explorer.exe and run it again. (And no, its not because a process is loading/running, etc., cpu usage in the task manager is minimal when i check). I think this may be a conflict with panda platinum internet security 2

Don't think you need to worry Jafo: In the post, he says he'll post that image when he means to not be taken seriously; since that image is present in this post, that means he's not serious about posting that image elsewhere in the forums...

I have the same problem here, using FF version 1.5.0.5. The problem seems to be that when you click the logout button the cookie doesnt get deleted. (well actually, what happens is that the page reloads, I seemed to be logged out because i see the username and password fields, but after a few seconds, it dissappears and is replaced with the "welcome Halluci" message, so maybe the cookie is getting deleted, but replaces itself? i dont know).

For me, the first thing I look for in a skin before considering originality and long term useability are the graphics. The skin has to first look good (to me, everyone has different tastes); after all, thats what skinning's all about: replacing the ugly windows default theme with something that looks better. Originality and useability come afterwards; if a skin is too dark, too light, etc., I can always go in and change it. If the cor

try using task manager and kill desktopx. if you still dont see anything, kill the explorer process (if its running), and then go to file --> new task (run) and type explorer.exe now you *should* be able to see your desktop... and you can either uninstall desktopx or go in and modify settings hope this helps

Windowblinds and Iconpackager are a must, perhaps this time you should highlight some of the programs which havn't quite been skinned to their full potential yet, such as Desktopx (maybe best desktop theme, and then a best widget/gadget category) or the new objectbar (when's that going to come out of beta and become a general release btw?); and a windows media player category would be nice as well. Oh, and I really think you should create a new ca

Hmm, I don't really have the funds right now to support this contest in that way (hey, school's taking up most of my life rite now, so i don't really have the time or the will to find a new job =P) But if you need anything else, i'll be more than willing to give back to the community

there could be several reasons for that... check your color settings; 32 bit should display everything properly, anything lower than that means that translucency doesnt work and icons with translucent parts will show up with that white background. it could also just be a bug with windowblinds; try unloading and reloading wb. Also, try deleting the skin and reinstalling it; some files might have gotten corrupt. <br/

... photoshop lag is normal for any system; especially if you've got a full poster size document open (ever check out the size of some of those photoshop files? I've got ones that are over 100mb; think about loading all of that into your memory ), so it's probably really not your hardware problem or a spyware problem. Actually, some of the slowdown might just be wind

350 mb free is pretty good for a 512 mb system. The reason the different processes only add up to about 40 mb is that there are hidden windows core processes that aren't displayed which take up probably 100 mb in itself; also, that list doesnt include all of the dll's which are loaded with windows, which also take up memory space. so normal idle free ram should be around 250-350 mb depending on what you have installed.

I think the reason why it still displays the wb version 4 as a separate program is that some people don't have the hardware necessary for wb5. The reason that for you, both are displayed as being installed is a kinda glitch; DO NOT uninstall wb4 because the two uninstallers (wb4 and wb5) are linked to the same files, if you uninstall wb4, wb5 will get uninstalled as well, and vice versa.

have yet to see any Difference in my pc's performance while gaming ... although when playing games, you might want to close off some of those dx objects and maybe sysmetrix and rainlendar as well... they don't take up huge amounts of memory, but they take up some memory nonetheless.
