and also, a way to make your logon compatable with multiple resolutions is to tile the background image to make it a panel on the left side, and then use the logo image to add your background image on top of that (see mormegil's logon by the name of lAst, or pixtudio's pixOs logon)

A tricky thing is to get your top panel and bottom panel images to align correctly when you set them to tile mode (i.e., you create a bitmap that is the correct height of the panel, but it has a width of 1600 pixels (with multiple screen resoltuion support in mind), and you want to tile it so that it will display correctly for all resolutions) I still havnt figured out exactly how to do it, but if you leave the image as it is and tile it, logonstudio seems to cut it in half and scramble it aroun

I agree with Chas... each skin you release, you want to make it better than the previous, and it is highly addicting... and for me, I spend most of my time tweaking a skin rather than working on the graphics... i start a skin with already a good idea of what I want it to look like, it just takes a long time to accomodate and find workarounds to putting everything you want into the skin. @Koasati sometimes that doesnt work.... pressing the edit button and then saving in logon studio just screws up the transparency and alignment that is used with some skins... the best way is to open up the logon folder and edit the background bitmap (bitmap_100.bmp i believe) and resize that to your desired screen width (1600 in your case), but keep the height in same ratio as before (not 1200, since the top and bottom panels subtract from the actual size of hte background pic)

If you installed the alienware suite, just load the suite and &#115elect iconpackage... that is, you have to have iconpackager first of course. if that doesnt work, go to your thememanager folder, open up the .suite file with a zip program. sithin the suite file, go into the iconpackage folder, and extract the AlienMorph folder within to your iconpackager themes folder. then run iconpackager and apply the icons <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/smile.gif" borde

... programs/explorer windows usually open up in the same location as it last was before you closed it, so unless you closed the window with the titlebar off the screen, you shouldn't have this problem...
