Don't think Stardock or Ironclad would be too keen on that idea, but I would be willing to rent out printer time ;)

Sins is one of my all time favorite strategy games, so I decided I'd like some real life models of the ships and I just so happen to have a 3D printer. ;) Using the modding tools I broke down the model for the Kol into pieces and made them printable. I used to just do that too but I don't use windows for anything but playing sins. This way I can work while having sins going and not have to reboot into windows. Plus I'm able to bump up the visuals quite a bit. It just works better for me :)
