There are several of us doing B5 mods, but I don't recall any links being given, but I could have missed that post.

Since the Metaverse was cleared I can not seem to get on the list. :notsure: Is there new criteria now - must be playing Version 1.x or something?
I think so too. I am modding the last Beta, but I won't be looking to finish until after a number of games of the intact Released game. I'd give it a month or 2 after release date.
I haven't build a Terror Star recently, but I have usually ecorted them/it with a pair of Avatar Battleships, an Overlord and a trio of Frigates. :d
I have the same problem. According to the registry, I'm playing 0.9.017. On a side note, will this always be the Reg Key that is used for GalCiv - why I ask is that I'm writing an app that uses the text data files and it would be good to be able to just get GalCivs location from the registry. ~SDC~
I find it fun to 'lead' the monsters through enemy territory. I just finished a game where I had my surveyship leading the 3 monsters around the map, past everyone elses starbases and precursor fleets. :D ~SDC~
Ion Stream, just use Ctrl-N and you'll get exactly what you suggested.
I have played the Beta on a PII 350, dual cpus mind you, 256MB RAM and was quite happy with maps up to Medium in size.
Unfortunitely there will always be some smart arse who will find a way to pirate a piece of software. >:( With these pirated offerings only being Beta 5, hopefully anyone who gets them will get the feeling that the game is incomplete and will visit here to find out they've been ripped off and that the Release version is so much more than they have - and will buy it through the proper channels. LOL I suppose you could take the point of view that the pirated versions could almost be lik
Yes, same here. Bottom right says I'm logged in, bottom left says Failed to validate account information, Top says login failed. Checked and reentered password. No change. Forums won't update.
And the terrorists do not go by the same name everytime - as I just found out.
There are effectively 5 build queues - 4 Governors and no Governor. I find that I only use 1 governor in most games and have the queue contain generic projects. Any colony I want to have build specific project(s), gets the personal touch and I override or suppliment the build queue. On larger maps multiple Governors can be a big help.
Changing Race pictures is very easy. Adding new ship pictures does not seem so. Apparently the Bonus pack with include a utility that will allow graphical changes to be made to the game.
Cool. ~SDC~
Instigation, I think we should agree to disagree ;p And yes, great news about EB stores. ~SDC~
The metaverse is a big place...and exactly what is wrong with my native land; Instigation >:( [just kidding about the frown] :D ~SDC~
Oh yeah - ANZACS against the rest in the Metaverse :D ~SDC~
Sydney, Australia ~SDC~
Hi Peldorian, Yip, it US dollars (:( So the game is no more expensive or cheap than any other game downunder. Pity we couldn't orginise for one of us with DSL and a CD burner to help out those who only 56K or slower modems. Oh well, the offical CDs will arrive eventually. ~SDC~
Its probably going to be easiest to buy it directly from Stardock and do the download thing... My question would be will we get it on the 26th here, or the 27th here :notsure: ~SDC~
It is also possible to 'force' an Alliance - well in Beta 5C it is. The other race needs to be at any footing other than "At War" for it to work. I have even managed to get a race to Agree to Peace, giving them Alliances as part of the deal, and then in the same turn 'forced' them into an Alliance LOL 1. Get Alliances technology. 2. Give it to them, for nothing in return, or as part of a Peace Treaty. 3. If the race is not Close, Alliance will not show as an option, so Give th
Yes, I have to agree that this damned game is addictive, there are just so many different ways to play >:( I have not played a game so much since MoO1,Uprising 2 or UT/Freespace demos! It reminds me of the great times I used to have playing a board game called Stellar Conquest. I have had so much fun that I'm now modding it - and I've only got the BETA! This is truely a great game...IMHO :D ~SDC~
Mike C, you are right about the AI and what we know about the races of the B5 universe. For my B5 mod, I'm going to set the Precursors to Vorlons and the Dark Lords to Shadows. For the other B5 races, it simply will not be possible to make direct comparisons between the GalCiv B5 race and the race in the B5 universe.
Google search for 4x games to play while waiting for MoO3.
I'd have entered if I could have - live outside US :( Congrats on winning...nice to actually here from someone who actually won :CONGRAT:
