The settings mentioned above is not in the nVidia control panel btw, but was in the nVidi

I know you are getting fed up with all this, but we do try to help. What you can try, is to uninstall your nVidia driver, reboot, and download the latest one and do a clean install. Not sure what other options to think of that you haven't tried already.
