Are you running Windowblinds by any chance? If you do, apply the default Windows theme and see if that solve your issue.

I doubt that is caused by Windowblinds. My guess would be that you have some other third party software installed to customize your start menu/taskbar/explorer.
Unfortunately, sometimes the forums avatars don't change immediately after you have replaced the old one. If the upload of the new avatar is successful and is correctly displayed on your account page, you just have to wait for it to be updated.

I don't think Soundpackager 1.31 is compatible with Windows 10. You will need a license for Soundpackger 10 for that.

To eliminate the presence of viruses, I have done an online virus scan using Trend Micro's House Call with 0 threats found.
And yes, I was patient. Nothing happened for at least 5 minutes before I forced the logout. I have as a test uninstalled and reinstalled several other apps now with no issues.
