okay, i tried to delete the names in the login. but it wont let me delete the name im on. But i did go to network places, select properties, and there is a selection, Microsoft Family Logon. (is that it?) well it has a button to remove it. and oh i see now, there is also a thing to select "windows logon" so i guess i select?. well any way thanx for the help all.

well it seems i was playin around yesterday in the control panel. and i set a user in the "users" section. i know the pass and all, but i wanna how to get it back the way it was. with no set users. well thanx for replying bye.
well a funny thing happend, i could get into dos from my bootable cd. The only prob is when i installed the new litestep shell, i must of messed the file name up, cuz it said error loggin shell. So i had to totally restore my comp . I couldnt get edit to work in dos from the boot like i thought it would,ve. well i guess i still wanna find a way to change my shell, but this time i wanna make sure i can change i
i dont have a startup floppy, i do have a restore disc, it says (bootable Cd) , will that work?
okay thanx. i did get into that screen were it lets me select safe mode etc. but there's no opion that says command line only.and thanx again for looking at it to provide the answers i need
okay im on windows ME. i can do that F8 to get into my bios, but i dont see anywhere where it says Command promt only. So i still dont know how to get into dos right at boot up, i do know how to edit the shell though.
Im not sure i know how to get right into dos on boot. someone please tell me how. thank you
i have read on the lite step.com website. I really have no idea about windows shells. i dont wanna mess up my comp, and i have no idea how to install the litestep themes anyways. SO i was wandering if anyone has documents or advice to share. bye.
