brazil: Have you enabled fall back mode in WFX? You have an Nvidia card and their drivers are extremely buggy in the bits that WFX needs. I have a ti4600 and a Radeon 8500. The Radeon is smooth and fast. The ti4600 has delays in transtions and other issues. Stardock has been waiting for Nvidia to fix it's drivers for a long time now. It's not something Stardock can fix. A search for cmd32.exe on google gives a lot of links regarding viruses. The command prompt is actually Command.com or CMD.exe. CMD.exe is 32 bit and does not have 32 on the end. Paxx: I suspect what c242 is gettng at is the use of a specific character in the font used as an image. ie in Thredz to make the pictures for the shellstyles I took a character from webdings, enlarged it in Coreldraw, applied extra layers of shapes to make it look 3D. The file is indeed a zip file. Simply rename it to AmericanFlag.zip. Open it with winzip. Extract the .logonxp file and apply that. I have just done this and it worked perfectly. If you have hidden file extensions you may need to turn them on again.

I'm not Jafo but I'll jump in anyway. You have to get the written permission of the actual artist saying you can upload it or modify and upload it before uploading it. You cannot upload it without that permission no matter how many times you say who really created it. Erm. If you don't like skinning why on earth are you on a skinning site spreading FUD about Stardock products? And no StyleXP does not do everything Object Desktop can do. It doesn't really do much at all. It hacks a system dll (in memory now but used to hack the file itself) and not a lot else. And MS could put out a patch any day that would stop it doing that. I have never run into a problem with DX that I could not get out of by simply killing the task in the taskmanager. The betas available to Object Desktop users are admittedly having issues but these are betas and that is expected and those are simply that the trayserver was not being installed or dll's were missing, nothing more serious than that. There is no real need to delve into the registry unless you have enabled all security settings in DX and not given yourself a button non the desktop

Just to clarify by not change windows settings I mean that it doesn't modify Windows controls like close buttons or the actual borders etc. Another thought just hit me. Is there any chance that you enabled security settings in DX? You can lock it up pretty tight using those settings. If you have you may need to open regedit from an administrator account and wipe out all DesktopX related info in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software and in Any HKEY_USERS\\Stardock. <A HREF="https://www.wincusto

What you are describing does not sound like a DesktopX problem. DesktopX doesn't modify/change any windows settings. What happens when you press the Windows Key or Ctrl-Esc? Do you see any start menu at all? Also do you have any antivirus installed? The only thing that I can think of that would cause the problems you describe is something that has totally screwed up system files and/or registry settings. If possible go to safe mode and see if you can do anything from there also. Al

Actually I think you are misunderstanding what Voo is saying. In this case StandBy = Hibernate is correct because the way XP shows that option is when you press Shift. Since it does not change icons I suspect that it'll keep the same one when using WB also.

Ok. I downloaded Colony DXInfoPanel (I'm presuming that was the same one). It does have one DXToys object in it. Not sure if that's causing the problem or not. Have you ever done any programming before? I found vbscript easiest to start with but then I do have a bit of a programming background. On the other hand if you have ever done any javascript then jscript may be the best choice.
