Are you trying to create a close button disabled image? Meaning that the image will show if there is no closed button? The problem may be that windowblinds will draw a normal close button whether it works or not. Are you saying that on some windows, windowblinds will not draw a close button? Because, if I remember correctly when I was playing "Quake 3" in window mode, windowblinds did draw a close button but it didn't work. I wouldn't close the window with that button while playing Quak

Adam, your ideas are innovative and your themes are awesome. I'd complain too. But, I know what it is like to hear the complaints, and the time spent making these themes for free. So, I'll just shut up and be patient.
Here's what I hope the next version of Windowblinds can do. 1) Support tga or magic pink in the menus. (Come on, its there, please let it work) 2) BRING BACK THE TRANSPARENT WINDOW BACKGROUND! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/lol.gif" border=0 ALIGN=
Yeah, I hope they update it out of existence.
The statement Every time I download any alienware skin defintely is not accurate. The Alienware WMP skins are a direct download. 1) What is the size of the file? What is the name of the file and file extension? 2) If you are working with a zip file and using the built-in WinXP zip program, you need to extract the files before executi
Is there anyway to take the sounds from that one and put them in the other?
Yes, but the instructions are quite extensive. Basically, you want to copy the sound files to the skin folder that you want the sounds. Then, you need to open SS and add the sound attribute to the buttons, and, choose your wav file. Then, you need to turn the titlebar button sounds on for the skin. That attribute is in the personality section of SS, called "SoundsEnable". You may need to add that attribute too, and set it to enable, or "1". <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/smil
Personally, I skin because I enjoy it. I've always been a artist at heart and skinning gives me an outlet in that regard. Sure, download counts, appreciation and comments are nice perks. Some people do want download counts, some people want comments. I say, go for it, in anyway it makes you happy. Adam, I know its difficult when people complain, but it is also nice to know that they like your work. Going back and updating older skins actually helps me to improve my work as a whole. Righ
lashing out will invariably alienate those who's support u request... Not to mention how it negatively effects things like promotions. If I had been a good boy, I probably would have made skinner a lot sooner. "With a rebel yell....you get
Is there some sort of customer loyalty award If you really want to show your loyalty, it is found in your hip pocket,or more familarly in a thing called "your wallet" You can surf WC with the elite and get lots of perks too. Oh, and did I menti
I've seen a lot of magic pink in some of my skins. It's strange. But sometimes colors didn't always change in 4.3 either. Windowblinds is not a perfect science.
Sure enough it found some objects' that Adware did not. If you downloaded a theme from EZ Theme or a ThemeXP, you probably have a lot more than that. I got Spyware Doctor(not free) and it found tons of stuff that was truly spyware that Spybot and Adaware could not find.
But I'm running Win ME. Does this matter? On WinXP, mine says 4.4, so could be.
OMG, I made a PINK SKIN!!
These Stardock developers are very tricky fellers. They like making us skinners go back and look at our skins, and see what's now messed up with them. Thereby, maybe forcing us to update them and hopefully make them better. I admit, there's always room for improvement.
Hmm, you mean the system fonts that windowblinds uses by default? Do you know what the All Programs font/size use to be? And can't we define that font? Thanks.
I've noticed a few things no longer line up properly.

yeah, there's a way to get rid of that throbber. Doesn't bother me much, I can give Microsoft that tiny corner to remind me of their awesome OS. But, I'm sure someone will come along and give you the program link. <b
I sort of feel the same way. But, I think that I'm going to update another one of mine for it, with a totally new substyle. Doesn't seem to take much to inspire me.
Plus, you get all the other perks as well. And, you should see all the babes. [Message Edited]

The reason the bitmap appears squished is because you aren't using the right size for it. The size for a 1024x768 monitor should be 1024x608. Then, you need to cut the top and bottom at 80 pixels each. Therefore your image size will be 80+608+80=768 Get it?
