There seems to be an issue with AMD 64 and SP2 which is allegedly being addressed and a update coming soon. [Message Edited]
I would have guessed about SP2. One question: Did you have SP2 installed before you installed windowblinds? Just curious. If not, you may try unloading and uninstalling windowblinds, reboot and try to install again. It seems that some people have trouble with windowblinds and SP2, and some do not. Mostly it seems that those who have problems did not unload windowblinds before installing SP2. So, maybe certain files didn't get updated properly with windowblinds running while installing SP2, or ma
Yeah, don't use those system hacking programs. LogonStudio doesn't change your system files. It is the best way to go. If you do modify your system files, nothing that expects your system to be in its full integrity may work properly.
Just Jane, the most important thing about any video card these days is the Amount of Ram it provides. This helps to reduce your CPU and memory usage. The best cards I believe provide all in one capabilities. Meaning that you can watch TV shows with them without leaving the computer. It's great for not missing a favorite TV show or important news broadcast. Personally, I will never buy another Nvidia video card. I had a Nvidia RivaTNT 64MB and it went kaput after just two years. That is w
No, T-Man, its okay. I lost them myself. Let me download them before you delete them if you must.
My very first skin here entitled "GroovyBaby" is even there. I'm so embarassed.
Wow, this is so cool. All my old skins are there. These are skins that I deleted during a bad rant I had about a year ago. They are no longer on the WC site but they are in my gallery? hmm. Do I need to cross reference them? On second thought maybe I don't want to cross reference them.
Yes, your appearance may be reset. But, is windowblinds loading at startup? And, is it loading the last loaded skin? I had the problem with the appearance reseting too. But, it loaded my last loaded skin, so no biggy. This was before I installed version 4.4. Now, all is well.
Right now it is pretty good looking except for the very little black lines ut oh, the last time I got those, my video card was toast. I probably did exactly what you did too. I got a new monitor. Heck, we can always use a new monitor, especially
Alienware doesn't use the winstyles program, it uses Theme Manager, if I remember correctly.
Maybe you could ask your really understanding girlfriend if you could skip a couple of the expensive dinner dates and go to Jack-In-The-Box for the next two weeks, so that you can buy some Ram for your computer....hmm..nevermind.
Yeah, I just checked that Boxxi, you may be right. influx2k, in the center pane there are tabs. Click the one that says preview, then the one that says windows. You will see the system buttons there. For some reason it seems that the program you are using may only take the text color and not the rest of that button. Click the button that says default, then on the far right window pane you will see a window with six white text colors. This may be the problem. If not, try lookin
It appears it is the MagicTune software of Samsung. When I exit out of that program, all is well. Ah, then you may contact customer support if it is a problem with the software, and maybe they will eventually come up with a update to fix the problem. But, if it is a black area, then maybe you can adjust stretch the screen size to fix it. I alway
paxx, Chas, you both seemed to have missed something in Bder's list...... "Object Desktop". That could mean quite a lot of programs running. Yeah, that is why I thought about DesktopX, and there is WindowsFX to consider too. If you add those two to the list, and Object Dock too, you might start to slow down even on a 512 Ram system. But, not on
Yeah, probably, but wouldn't it be fun to have the Audigy2 in its entirety? I think I'd like to set my system up like the above, in a totally up to date system. Then, I won't need to upgrade it for another two years and maybe I can retire a nice system for my kids someday. But, upgrading is a never ending process too. Next, I'll probably want a ATI 256MB all in one video card, and another GB of Ram. Then, as Jim Carey said, "Smokin'". Darn Lottery, why can't I win. <img src="http://images.stard
I want it to show a close button if there is one, show a disabled one if there is a disabled one such as in Quake 3, or no button if the window doesn't have buttons such as in the screenshot I showed. Finally, we got the definitive answer about exactly what you are trying to do. See, all it took was a little patience. <img src="http://images.sta
Of the programs that you mentioned, only sysmetrix and windowblinds would use any memory at all. The problem definitely seems to be a memory problem. I think you probably knew that all along but you wanted help to avoid it. Sorry, my friend. There is really no way. Those memory manager programs really don't work. You can never have enough memory when you want to run many programs. I learned that a long time ago. I always maxed out my memory on my systems. My first maxed out at
Yes, it might be a software issue with your new monitor. Did you have this isssue with your other monitor? There might be one area in Skin Studio. I am thinking about the attributes, "MaxBorderCutTop" and "MaxBorderCutBottom". These are attributes in the Border section of SS. Good Luck.
Now, I'm a little confused about what you want too. Are you saying that you don't want those buttons there now? Or are you saying that the buttons in link#25 are not suppose to be there? Things like "Why doesn't always visible work?" Is rude What is rude in that question? There is absolutely nothing rude in that question. I think what yo
If you just noticed this problem in the last few days, and you just attached a new monitor, maybe the monitor is causing it. Maybe there are new files associated with the system now too. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling windowblinds?
It works fine for me, there must be something wrong with your computer. Either that, or a broken skin. But, if you say that they all work this way, then it must be your computer.
I must also say that being hostile and rude to members who are only trying to understand what it is that you are trying to accomplish will not help you accomplish anything. How can anyone help you if they don't understand what you are trying to do? And then, why would anyone want to help you if you are going to be rude to them?
I also looked at your preview in thread#25. I assume that the top window was the classic view and the second one was XP view, and the third one was a StyleXP visual style. If I am correct, then the problem may lie in the operating system itself. As you can see, the classic view nor the XP view had those buttons. This is the way the operating system is set to work. If you illegally hack the shell, maybe you can get those buttons as shown in your third example. The problem is that windowblinds DOE
