If you are trying to edit the png files in paint, it won't work. Paint does not support a transparency layer. Therefore, importing the png back to Skin Studio won't work properly. This may explain the blue color. You need to follow #3 and use a program that supports a transparency layer. If you need help setting up everything in #3, let me know. Assuming that you have a paint program that supports a transparency layer. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/smile.gif" borde

I don't know what paint program you are using. Maybe your paint program doesn't support png images. I don't even know what format you are saving and importing these images as. There can be a million in one explanations, based on the lack of information you are providing.

Don't feel bad, PcCustomizer. I have seen a lot of computer users who.. have no idea what A spyware program is. Then, their programs won't start, the internet won't work, and I have come to the rescue, to show them that they have 100 spyware files installed on their computer, or worse. This site is one of the very few sites that won't

You need to use a program such as paint shop or photoshop and set up everything as outlined in my #3 response. If you are just beginning to work with Skin Studio, then you'll also need a litle patience. It seems that you already have a good understanding of how to work with the program. Your paint program needs to be able to handle the png format. The best programs for begineers are Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop. These are entry level programs but quite detailed for this sort of work. In order to see the toolbar icons in Skin Studio, you need to be in the preview tab for toolbar icons. There is a hot set of toolbar icons(mouse over) as well as small view and many others. If your toolbar icons appear in internet explorer and normal view, then this means that you made icons for internet explorer and normal view, not mouse over view.

I guess most importantly: Is it possible to have two Spyware programs installed at once? Yes, but you don't want two programs that are similar running in the background at the same time. The simplest thing to do is turn off all background scanning in both programs. This way when you shut one program down, it is completely shut down. Then, you can

I've always been able to have different skins and icon packages in different user accounts. Now I can't even get the same skin in the user account. Just some Win98-looking skin with the coloring of the skin I'm trying to apply. Hmm, so you are using Win98, hence the "Win98-looking skin" and I guess you were able to have different skins when you h

some miss some things others find them here, here. Also, if you had spyware killer software on your machine, and it wasn't active, and then you installed a ThemeXP or other spyware producing software, your spyware killer program may now be broken. It happened to me. I knew I had spyware, but Spybot found nothing. So, I installed Adaware, and it f

having shoddy VESA implementations in some BIOSes I thought VESA was only neccessary for having more than 16 colors. Hmm. Many game manufacturers will release a game knowing that it won't work on some systems. Then, they release a patch. I'm sure that by now the gang at Stardock are aware of which Bios/Manufacturers will cause a problem with

They're more than working on it, it already exists. It just won't have much hope of release unless the low res one bugs can be resolved. From what I can see, these bugs are caused by hacks of the operating system. Legal or not, I'm referring to the OEM's. Many manufacturers like IBM, Gateway, HP, Compac, will license a operating system and then

1)set SS to open your paint program as the primary editing program for SS images. 2)set SS to open tga files as png. 3)double click the toolbar icons in SS and it will open for editing in your paint program as a png file. Very easy to do from there. When done, save, and save skin studio and it will change the image back to tga and you can reload the changes to windowblinds. Done deal. [Messag
