Heck, I tried many other Desktop skinning programs. Those 3D world programs looked interesting, Alt Desk seemed interesting, but it kept crashing my system. I even put Style XP on my system for about 2 minutes(I'm serious, I don't believe it was more). I immediately took it off and I thought "there has to be better than that". Then, I stumbled on windowblinds. I liked the lady masters at first. "The Knight" skin by Starone and "XP Corona" by Alexandrie are my classic favorites. But, I was a Win9

I am very surprised at MaxPC. It is probably the best gaming source PC and it is very informative about new technologies in the world. I don't know why they would snub OD. I haven't seen anything from StyleXP that looks anything close to the great skins we have here by Pixtudio and Adni18, and Mormegil, just to name a few. Well, I guess this shows that you don't have to really know your business to be successful. You just have to be able to fake it well. Guess what everyone? Th
This program will be awesome with high color support. Come on Froggie, you can do it.
One word. Winamp.
I have attempted to edit the boot.ini file through the “System Startup”- “edit” - and get the message: -“Cannot locate the c:\ boot.ini file, do you want to create a new file.” Clearly, you need to create a new one. So, you probably should answer yes. I remember that BootXP messed with that file. It probably wasn't properly restored. The
It's funny when threads go on and on. This one is now #51 and the original poster never said anything after post #1. It's sort of like putting someone on life support for 51 years. Please let it die.
Okay, here's one that is really funny. Why does the windows buttons say that there are six states? But, only allow three frames, and in most skins only give an explanation of three states? And, even in the instances where some poor soul did make a six state button, the frame count still only showed as 3. Meaning that only 3 frames were recognized by SS.
neophil78, In case you didn't know it, the rating system has recently changed. Not every rating has the same weight anymore. If a Master rates a skin, it has more weight than if a Apprentice rates one. This system was to help stop just the sort of things that you mentioned. The notice was given on the messageboard awhile ago by Frogboy, to stop rating abuse by newcomers. I'm too tired to find the particular thread, but it is here somewhere. <img src="http://images.stardock.com
Did you download and install the program Sysmetrix? It is available here. http://www.xymantix.com/sysmetrix/download.html
OMG, a lady plumber? You ladies aren't leaving us guys a lot to impress you with.
Hmm, mine changes.
Well, I guess that's what happens when you hack your system files. I would get rid of the hacked system files. I would reformat the hard drive and reinstall the operating system without the hacked system files. Then, install windowblinds. This might cure your problem. You didn't mention that you hacked your system files in the opening thread. Windowblinds and the Bootscreen program here doesn't hack the system files. You are safer with them, regardless of whether this will actually solve your di
I would never have thought that it mattered. Because when you move the cursor over the "All Programs", it is highlighted, and pressed because the menu shows. So, my question would be, why would it matter? I just think of that image as a two state button.
You shouldn't take the rejection in a bad way. The admins are very use to seeing rendered landscapes, and even real landscapes. Try to get your work good enough to get pass them. Then, you will know that you have passed the critics who know about the program. Once you get pass them, I am sure we will all be in amazement at your work. Personally, I won't judge your work. It has already been judged.
The word d-e-l-e-t-e-d doesn't seem to work here. Hmm.
Maybe Dungeon isn't in your font folder. Or, it may have been removed from your system when you d a program where it was installed. So, only a invalid shortcut is left. I would search for the font and copy it to your font folder. Make sure it is a actual font file and not another invalid shortcut.
See, now you're learning how to skin Windowblinds.
Heck, if I had that many children of mine using the computer, I'd just kill myself anyway. So, I wouldn't need the scroll bar.
Essencay, are you sure that these aren't images? A screen shot would be nice. On #2, it sounds like that maybe a menu separator. But, I've only seen that in the Start menu.
Why are we feeding this thread? Please let it die. It is useless and serves no good purpose.
Check the Batman skin I did for windowblinds. It also has no errors so it is really fast.
In my new skin for the GUI Olympics, I have lots of transparency all over the start menu. And everything is lined up properly with no sizing margins.
Oh, one other thing. Don't trust windowblinds for the proper appearance. Reload the skin and see how it actually looks on the desktop. You can also use the Skin Studio Zoomer to see it closer on your desktop.
The sizing margins, not the content margins are set at zero. I assume you draw your start menu in a paint program. And there, everything is lined up properly, correct? And you need no sizing margins there. The trick is to set the size properly, so it doesn't get skewed when you import the image into windowblinds. If you set the size properly, no sizing margins are neccessary. Trying to adjust sizing margins are a nightmare. I found this way much easier.
A lot depends on the size of the start menu. I had that problem too. I use NO sizing margins. I worked on it a lot in my Batman skin. But, it is a normal size start menu. I use 190 width(left) and 191 width right. The top I use as 69 height, which is the same as the Master Mormegil uses(Christmas Time). The height of the left and right pane seems the variable to making things line up correctly. The height of the left pane and the all programs pane, needs to match the height of the right panel. T
