It sounds like your moms need to get a clue. If their sons are doing things constructive on the PC, that is a good thing. Doing computer graphics is a lot more constructive than playing games. It shouldn't matter if your mom doesn't understand WB skinning. Hey, maybe you could use Autocad to design your skins. That might make her think.

In some areas, Windowblinds has problems using magic pink. This is true with menu backgrounds. In your case, you don't need it. The trick with creating or modifying WB skins is to learn the problems, and try to design your skin around the problem. When you master this, you can come up with some really unique ideas. And, in no time, you will design skins like Pixtudio, very nice and unique.

The solution is not to use the pink. You don't need it. Use your menu background to replace the magic pink area. Since those buttons only show on top of the menu background, you don't need magic pink. Just place the buttons on top of your menu background, excluding the magic pink, but keeping the same size of each button. Magic pink is slower anyway as windows has to draw the area transparent. Get the idea?

There are some bugs in Logon Studio. Also, if you are running similar Logon screen changers, you might have conflicts. I had trouble with Logon Studio and I solved it. The problem was that there is a conflict, using the Logon Studio registry entry. If you take out that entry, using msconfig, Logon Studio works great. The only draw back is that you can't auto-switch the skins. Try unchecking the entry for Logon Studio in msconfig, and restart. That might fix your problem. If that doesn't work try

I checked Copper Deck II. The userpic is a jpg. You might have trouble loading it as a userpic in that form. If you have trouble, convert it to a bitmap using paint.

How about 'lil bytes as in little bytes. Hey, I don't think you need to know windowblinds to make great skins. If you are a good artist thats all you need. Windowblinds is just about button states. Any good artist can do that. And the artistry applied, will come up with quite creative ideas. You just need someone to assemble it in windowblinds or show you the button states needed. There is a better way. You can load a theme in winstyles or windowblinds with the wallpaper, if you use a bitmap, or convert the jpg to a bitmap. Then, start Skin Studio and go to the left personality section. On the right side you will see a section called Desktop Wallpaper. Once you highlight it, you can go to the bottom pane and import the wall, and then save the skin. The wall will be copied to the theme directory. Now, anytime you load the skin, either in display properties or wins

Try creating a new skin using the default Luna Template or use one that has similar graphic sizes, and work with that one. When you change it, save it under a new name. The margins and setup should be correct. Also remember, most buttons(I.E. Start Button) have frame states.
