I haven't used DX in a while, but mormally you can change things by right clicking. What theme are you talking about? It seems that the button was set to open a game folder. If you try right clicking on the text that may be a object you can change too. Just make sure to save your changes. If you require more assistance, please list the specific theme. This way if there is actually a problem or something unusual happening with it, others can find the problem too.

I think I see the problem here. I've had the same problem many times. It was hard to figure out from your description but tell me if I'm wrong. Are you having trouble applying the suites from the 1k Winstyles suite files? Secondly, I don't think that Windows uses the terminology that you suggested. It would help if you gave the exact error message. "the file type you passed.."? Thirdly, the suites are basically the individual files that you have on your computer. You can apply
I know you're kidding,right?
Yeah, what program are you talking about? That would be good information to provide if you want assistance.
Look for the latest Visual Basic. I think its Visual Basic 6 for windows98. There might be other Visual Basics as well. I remember that microsoft didn't really offer them for windows updates unless you had some of them installed. There was a ZDNet Service that offered many updates that Microsoft did not. But, they stopped the service. It was a great source for files that Microsoft didn't offer. Visual Basic is needed for a lot of the newer programs. You might try checking the sysmetrix web site
Oh yeah, look at the top artists here. You have adni18, Pixtudio, DuoPixels, and Mormegil, as top WB authors. TSF is top notch too. Why not hire one of them for one skin? I'm sure they can take criticism and change things to suit you. Then, once you have that one skin, maybe you could hire them for more. I'm requesting a copy of all premium skins designed under this suggestion, or usage of this idea is a copyright infringement. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/lol.gif" border=0
someone broke the smilie button. Please fix it. lol.
The problem may be the you can't afford to hire TSF or probably pixtudio. And, if a artist does try his best and you don't like it, he gets nothing. Not a good contract to me. If you want 20, why not get the best, if you are sincere? If it is just some flaky idea then you are probably wasting time. 20 skins? wow. That is at $500.00 per skin. I hope you can afford $10,000.00 U.S.
Read the authors comments. It normally says when it was last updated. If you haven't updated after that date then, you probably have an earlier version. That's the only way that I know.
WindowsXP doesn't seem to work well with Active Desktop. Many people have complained of problems using jpeg's and gif files as wallpaper. Some people here have complained about system corruption using jpegs and gif files as wallpaper. I also had that problem. The easy solution to the problem is just to use bitmaps(.bmp) as wallpapers.
Darn smilies.
Apology accepted. [Message Edited]
I think my solution will be just to use the same button on the stand by normal state and the mouse over stand by state. That way, there will be no focus interfering with the way it should look normally. I had to do that befroe, but I was just wondering if it was a problem with WB or just the way the OS is designed. Thanks.
I think I'm leaning towards KG on this one. And, I have AOL. AOL v9 won't skin with windowblinds at all. You have to use version 8 if you want windowblinds to skin AOL.
I'll say this though. I'll run my computer for a few hours and then shut it down. I'll start mine again in 20 years. He can let his run the entire time. And, in twenty years, we'll see who computer is still working.
I won't beat a dead horse into the ground. The horse died. But, we'll be sorry when all the dinosaur fuel is gone. The poor, poor dinosaurs.
I have a good idea. Lets make a sticky for DesignCaddy. The topic being, "Why my wall didn't get accepted
Look DesignCaddy, You don't seem to get it. We are not the admins/moderators. We don't know why someones wall didn't get accepted. If someone wants to ask that question, then they need to go to the source. This is why we reccommend that they not post that question here. We are just the community of skinners and members. Most of the time, I don't comment. It is a waste of time. Just as this thread is for me. But, I try to be nice. You have been here a little while, and maybe you think we
Yeah, I noticed that. I guess the only fix is to have the focus the same button as the normal. Although, you lose the mouse over effect that way. Oh well, Thanks. I glad it isn't just poor skinning.
Yes, I see what you mean. The problem maybe as explained in the #3 thread. Its basically a matter of skin design. If you like this skin that much, then you need to modify it using Skin Studio (for personal use). You can also try contacting the artist who designed the skin and address the problems with them. This is a problem with a specific skin, and not a software problem. This site is also very conscience of modifying others work without consent. The background in the Panel Content is where yo
Is it just me or does the mouse over/normal for the shutdown dialog on the stand by button not work properly? Mine seems to show the mouse over regardless of whether I move my mouse over it. Is this a Windowblind error, or a Skin Studio error? Anyone else notice or have this problem? Thanks.
