I know a gesture in sign language. Nope, nope you don't want to see it.

I always look at another wall that uses the same approximate size as my desktop settings, and use that size as a guide. For example since my desktop is 1024X768, then I look for a wall that uses those approximate settings. I found that 1024x608 worked well with my top and bottom panels from other similar working skins. One question is, how do the other walls look that you did not make? And, how about the othere logons that you made in the past. Do they still work? I use that sa
Good point Travis. But, did he ever say that the standard logon screen works? Maybe he should try that. Still, I wouldn't be surprised what type of system one would get by mixing diferent programs such as Style XP and Windowblind programs. There has been mention that StyleXP Programs will hack certain dll files in Windows, thereby creating possible system instabilities. I say scrap the StyleXP programs and the hacked system files. But, it is probably too late once they are hacked.
Maybe this is why that other guys system in this messageboard was corrupted? Hack the system files and one will get instability.
Whack him, he deserves it!
I think the problem is display related from the screen shot. And, you've mentioned many problems with your display. You might try going back to a compatible version of your video card with the TV tool if it was working then. Otherwise, you have to decide what is important to you. Whenever my system gets corrupted, as it seems your system is, I think its wise to reinstall a fresh system. Then, you can trace what caused the system corruption. Pay close attention to what you do when the problem occ
To get the best out of the software, I would suggest that you start with WinXP. Do you have it? Then, I would refer to #1, because assuming can really make a a(two more letters in the word) of people and it can waste a lot of time.
Do you mean comments to skins and such? Posted from IE or SDC or WC Browser? That's my question. You can try two things that I would suggest. Log out, and erase your cookies in Internet Explorer, then Log back in. You may also try to Cross reference your account.
Hmm, you did post a comment. Where do you get this message? In which program?
What is Logon Loader? Is that another Logon Program? Do you know that using two similar programs can conflict with each other? It sounds to me like you have some serious system issues and video issues that are not related to Logon Studio. Tvtool, messed up drivers, Logon Loader? It sounds like you created a mess for yourself.
It seems to me that rainlender is stuck on a bad theme. Here's what you can do. I've had this problem before. If you are using winXP, press ctrl-alt-delete. Under processes, look for rainlender. Highlight it, and click end process. Then, if you remember the last theme you applied with rainlender, go to its directory and delete that folder. Then, you can restart rainlender from its program shortcut. It should say that the last theme is missing and it is going to apply the default theme. That shou
Okay, try this. Sorry, I've been at work. I looked at the screen shot. It looks to me like you may have a display problem. Check your display settings and see if they are set to use the maximum color settings. That should be 1024x768 screen size(a good default), and 32bit colors.(Did you recently update or change your display drivers?) Then, open Logon Studio, and click restore default XP logon, and click apply. Even if you have checked the switch user, it still may not look correct. I would sug
You're right Iplural, no need really. These silly tempermental artist types.
Okay, Ridge Runner, that was a constructive criticism and I will respond to it in kind. I've made three windowblind skins so far. From the very first day that I change anything to begin making a blind, I use it until the end. I spend weeks just using a partly constructed skin. I've read many other artists who say that they do the same. I'll tell you that the colors are the most difficult and frustrating part of a skin for me. One font color is the same in another part of the skin. That is the wa
I do not believe you. I don't believe that you've tried even 10 windowblinds and you can't read the text and menus in MS word with them. People spend a lot of time creating these themes, and they use them while they work on them to fix errors like colors. People must understand that these blinds are supposed to be used every day No, you
Hopefully, this entire thread is null and void now. Welcome aboard toddboy2001.
Recoloring a tga file can be tricky, especially if the image isn't square or rectangle. What I do is just copy the image only and paste it as a new image. Then recolor only the image and thereby leaving the transparency alone. If you recolor the new image and copy it back to the position in the TGA it should work. It worked for me. Your way, the image did disappear. You can also make the images from scratch and save them as a png and load the new images you created, and SS will create the tga fo
I read this solution somewhere a while ago and it seems to work.
You might try to take it out of your msconfig. You will lose the ability to have random logons but, it might solve your problem. There seems to be some conflicts with it. It crashed my system and others that I have heard, but this solved my problem. Now, it works seemlessly for me.
When asking someone to troubleshoot, it is always neccessary to state fully what the error message says. Most of the time, the error messages occur because you changed something in your system. (I.E. added another program that may have changed a file, went from shareware version to registered version. etc..) It's important to state what you did prior to the problem occuring. You may not recall details but they are most important. When something is ruined in my system, I sometimes have to complet
When you unzip the file it will unzip into a folder. Move that folder into the Logon Studio directory with your other themes. The theme will be available the next time you run Logon studio.
I would delete and uninstall both programs and reinstall in the order and versions which it was working. For example, Windowblinds won't skin AOL9.0, so i went back to AOL8.0 You might also look in your WB exclusion list to make sure it isn't there, or WB won't skin it. If you've messed up and compromised windows, that is another story altogether.
It seems that you did something that corrupted some files somewhere. Maybe it is a compatability issue. I didn't know that logonstudio and stylexp worked together, for one. I would uninstall any programs that might interfere with logon studio. Then, uninstall logon studio, and restart. Check the logonstudio directory and make sure it is erased. I would check the registry via msconfig and look for logonstudio references for startup files and delete those references too. Then, I would reinstall. I
I don't like sounds either really. That's why I just included windows start up and shut down sequences, and window button sounds. Just a little something to beat the monotomy, and not interfere.
Was it by the skins factory? Describe it?
