I have AOL on my computer and Windowblinds with no problems. No problems with Outlook either. AOL v9 just didn't skin with windowblinds, so I went back to v8. No problems other than that. I think you have other issues.

I've got one that no one has mentioned. It's the AMC Pacer. Ever see one of those on the road anymore? I doubt it. As for Fords, there are still a lot of Mustangs out there. I mean the old ones, 1965 and 1966. What do you expect from a car that old? Give me a 1965-66 Shelby convertible and I'll be a happy man. [Message Edited]
My system has been stable for 1 1/2 years. I've learned a lot about keeping my system stable by visiting and helping on sites such as annoyances.org. I was under the impression that you could access your system fully by logging unto a different account. Over all these years of using Windows 95, 98Se and now XP, and Windows 2000 at work, I've learned a lot. I've also run and troubleshoot computer mainframes. I've found through experience that the best protection is Norton, period(Antivirus, Firew
Ut oh. I'll leave my male hormones out of rating things on the 1-10 scale. (hey, its a joke)
I also agree this is better. Great idea Frogboy. Who's the man?!!
Yeah, thanks Jafo, I'll live through it. {Wait until they get a load of my next skin}
You're a great and appreciated computer desktop customizing artist, Mormegil(whew! Got that all out in one sentence.lol.). Do whatever makes you happy. I'm sure we will all be happy with your work on our computers. Thanks.
I must concur that the rating system is a joke. I recently spent hours updating my Batman skin. I added toolbar icons, menu buttons and fixed, changed and improved many images. I also analyzed and fixed every error identified in Skin Studio, something that I've seen no other skin do before. For example, that great and beautiful skin by Mormegil, Christmas Time, has 77 errors identified in Skin Studio. My skin was originally a 8 rating. And after all the work I put into updating that Batman skin,
I have a rant here but, I don't want to be called a baby, not at my age. Especially, by a group of guys. (Chas asks Leo The Lion for a little courage)
In sysmetrix configuration, positioning, there are window positions for, On Top, On Bottom, and Normal. [Message Edited]
If you have edges that aren't exactly 255,0,255 it will show pink. For example, 254,0,254 will show very pink. This happens when your image approaches the pink and blends slightly. It's sort of tricky to get smooth looking curves in sysmetrix. But, if you look at The Skin Factory WMP skins, you will see that it can be done quite well if you have the skill and patience. When, I personally create a skin, I use it from the first day. And I know most skinners do the same. One doesn't just make a skin out of the far reaches of their minds, and then submit it. They use it. So, it is tested completely along the way. It is just sometimes things are missed. That is when we need your help, if you want it to be good for you. We try.
Most of the skinners create skins that they are inspired to create. They actually create the skin for themselves. But, since there is a great place like Wincustomize, the skinners are allowed to share their work with everyone. If you find a problem with a skin, please feel free to comment on the problem. This is why there is a comment section on every skin. Most skinners will do updates on skins if there is a problem with it. They may even send you a special update to address your problem. Just
It sounds like your desk.cpl file is corrupt. It is very important to know what you installed(or un-installed) before you noticed the problem, or anthing else that you did. You may have installed a incompatible display driver. If this is the case, you may want to reinstall your previous display driver, and make sure that you install a proper display driver for your video card when you try to update it. [Message Edited]

The only way is to back up your important files, and reformat your hard drive. Then, reinstall your operating system. This is a guaranteed 100% restore.
Remember to empty your recycle bin after you delete the file.
Get Spybot Search and Destroy. It can normally dlete trojans better than Norton, and its free. Also, get a firewall. Norton will allow you to quarantine the files, at the very least. Then, if you restart, you can search for the file, which is still there, just blocked from interfering with your system processes. You should be able to delete it now. Just search for the file, given by Norton, and delete it yourself. Then, rerun Norton AV and the file should be gone. That is how I got rid of a troj
I was overwhelmed by Skin Studio for 8 months. I started out just adding wallpapers to Skin Studio to load with the skins. Then, I modified a few colors. I was still overwhelmed. I did a few sysmetrix to familarize myself with different button states. Then one day, I had a idea for a WB theme. I decided that the best way was probably to create a start menu. I thought, "I'll never fully understand this program, its too complicated." But, then I saw how the pieces fit. So, I began to take it a pie

The best way to install a logon is not to double click on it. But, click the load button in logon studio and browse to the location of the .logon file. Redgangstapl, can you change to any other logon using logon studio? If yes, I suggest you try the above to get your new logons installed. Sometimes the logons don't self-extract and install properly.
Some people have also complained about WB 4.2Beta. Most computer users know that you have to be careful when installing beta programs. More experienced computer users will probably prefer to wait for a final version. As the slogan goes "if it ain't broke, why fix it? Also, there are sometimes loses as well as gains when updating one program that uses another. Then, you have to decide if the loss is worth the gain. But, you have to explain more clear still. What isn't being skinned properly?
Ah.. All the MSN changes, you said. Probably created some conflict with WB. You said it was working fine before that. I had a similar problem with AOL v9. So, I went back to v8. I would try a reinstall of WB. Maybe that will fix it. But, you do need to be explain your problem more clear.
Whats the complaint? I don't understand it. Everyone knows that WB skins better than StyleXP. So, what's the matter with a little more memory usage. I think 7MB is fairly small. Especially since WindowsXP needs about 128MB to 256MB of Ram to run smoothly. And most power users have even more Ram, up to 2GB. If WB uses 7MB of the 156MB being used on my system, I would be happy and I am. Svchost uses about 40MB, I am more concerned about that, and it doesn't even give it back once you disconnect fr
