How about porting the Litestep themes to windowblinds? That would save the loss of the best Litestep themes.

Try unloading ObjectDock. That may be the problem for you. It was for me so I stopped using it. It's difficult to know exactly what the problem is without seeing your task manager, and the programs running on your system. I would check for spyware too. That can slow down your system. Run Spybot, its always a good idea when your computer starts slowing down.
Yes, install winamp.
No. Sysmetrix mail checking only works with POP3 mail servers. Hotmail is not a POP3 server. Hotmail can be set up to work with Outlook because Microsoft made both programs. And support for Hotmail was specifically added to Outlook.
Yeah, but if you're not even using the program, why do you need it chewing up resources? Unless, you keep it minimized to alert you when friends come online.
Sorry about the gender mis-identification milady. I do notice a lot of unneccesary processes and one that could be dangerous to computer attacks. msmsgs.exe - I believe that is the microsoft messenger service which someone can use to send you unwanted popups. I use to get them all the time until I disabled it. Icq.exe - this one is also unnecessary, and chews up system memory. realsched.exe - this looks like a realplayer addition. They have been known to send info to t
Doctor and Nurse, when she'll let me. Or a little Quake III when she won't. I play a lot of Quake.
Chas....Zone Alarm is a firewall, NAV (Norton AntiVirus)is an AV. Where do you get he's running two AV's or two firewalls? Like Duh, I didn't know that. I got it here smart a**. lol. Post #23 "I going to shut down NAV(Norton Anti-Virus) and see how it runs. I had been using Kaspersky AV Pro(Another Anti-Virus) for a long time..."<br
What color is it? What is the theme of the skin?
It sounds to me like you have more than one AV program installed. That could be a big problem. Zone Alarm and Norton also have known conflicts. More than one firewall could also cause problems. Once you limit yourself to one firewall and one AV program, you might see a big diffence. AV programs are constantly running in the background. And if you have two competing, and conflicting with each other, this would describe your problem. If you must have Zone Alarm over Norton Personal Firewall or Nor
Hey, how did I get here? Wrong room, sorry. I guess my mouse slipped. Exiting now........
I wouldn't change a thing. That name will have guys clamoring to assist you. With that said, okay her comes my spiel. 1. Lose all those other customizing programs on your computer. I would never use StyleXP or any other customizing programs except Object Desktop. It's sort of like having two different Anti Virus programs competing on your system. You are just asking for conflicts. Once you have Ob
This is exactly why I stop using anything made by Mcafee. Nothing works with it. Get Norton, its a much better AV and Firewall. Eventually, you'll get the point, as I did. Sorry for your troubles.
StyleXP may have corrupted your system. That is why I never use it. I use Windowblinds/Object Desktop and I haven't had a problem with it in 1-1/2 years. I suggest you back up important files, wipe your hard drive and start anew. And, don't install StyleXP. You'll be happy computing again.
Maybe there should be three ratings. Something like an rating for originality, one for quality, and maybe one for design.
No system service for windowblinds. You can try unloading windowblinds from the windowblinds advanced configuration. I don't think it will reload apon startup. You can also change your display properties theme tab setting to classic or XP. That will also unload windowblinds and it won't restart upon reboot.
There is already a Windowblind Skin for Lord Of The Rings. It is very well done too. It is here. https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?searchtext=Gondor&sort=updatedate&order=Descending&library=1 There are two Logons for Lord Of The Rings too. They are here. https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?searchtext=Lord+Of+The+Rings&sort=updatedate&order=Descending&library=26 I actually made a sysmetrix for Lord Of The Rings a while ago. Maybe I'll upload it, soon.
Darn, I missed the fun again.
Yes, that can be a problem. Different names seem to align differently depending on the number of characters in the name. The is especially true of any user name in a start menu that isn't aligned fully left. It is best to fix it with skin studio. The location is the Start Panel.User Pane. The section is the content margins. Good luck.
There are lots of newer Logon Skins without the bottom panel too. Why not open some of those and see how they did it? I think you will see a lot of the above.
Why not just cut the picture and use a part of it as the bottom panel?
All the skins don't have all the text or buttons. Try different logon skins. And also try to apply the default logon too. See if there is a change.
Hey! How about a Marvin the Martian cursor anybody? This thread got me to. So did the Illudium Q-36 explosive space modulator. Thanks for the laugh.
With Win98 reformatting a hard drive was easy. I didn't learn it myself. I actually had a service telephone rep. walk me through it once when I had a problem. He actually removed my partitions and everything. It can be tricky, and there are no quick explanations on how to create partitions in dos. If you have Win98, reformatting is easy. You could just use a start up disk that you create in windows98, and then use it to boot to dos. You can basically do the same thing for XP, if you can
