Sins of a Solar Empire-Trinity Will not load, black screen & minidump error in Sins of a Solar Empire Stardock Forums

Just downloaded SoaSE-Trinity from Stardock.com. Immediately it would not work, black screen and a minidump error. I have tried many option found on the internet and I cant get it to work. Emailed CS for support on this subject with no answer, just and automated email response pointing me to a forum ive already read. I would really like to play this game, since I paid for it and all. Any help would be appreciated.

Fairly new player here, purchased the original SoaSE from a thrift store and there seems to be issues registering it and patching it. Was able to find patches 1.03, 1.04, and 1.05 but no others. Any help would be appreciated.
