Thanks all! All I had to do I found out was uninstall SKS 6.1 again and reinstall it after I had removed SKS 5. Did not even need to use the zapper. Thanks again! ;)
my guess is you both have remnants of 5 on your machines...
Could be yrag, but someone at Stardock will no doubt have to tell me how to fix it. ;)
I must be a really old timer here! While I know a lot of the groups mentioned here, and listen to some of their music, I personally like artists like Sarah Brightman, Josh Groban, Celine Dion, Enya, Melissa Manchester, John Tesh, Yanni and a few others. Some may know these artists, some may not... ;) Holy Cow! I just noticed how old this thread is! :)
Huh, just opened WB and click the edit in skinstudio and it opened sks5 not 6.1
Right, that is the problem, WB has not been updated to open SKS6.1, it tries to open SKS 5, which Ido nto even have installed. I do not think the C:\Program Files\MSImport\Resources\skssplsh.dat path has anything to do with the file that Brad put up in my other thread concerning Death of a Company (TGTSoft). Also, no, I do not have that folder or file on my system.
OK, I installed SDC from scratch, but SDC should certainly not be a requirement to open a theme in SkinStudio from within WB. All it did was cause another error, it comes up now with a dialog that says: "Error Opening File C:\Program Files\MSImport\Resources\skssplsh.dat!", and when you click OK it opens up a window that says it is Stardock SkinStudio Professional and a different dialog comes up saying: "The file type is not supported in this version of Stardock SkinStudio Professional. Anothe
Whenever I click the Edit in SkinStudio link in the latest WB release I get an error: I get a Caution! dialog that says "Cannot find ODZIP.DLL. The Dll must be in the applicationdirectory, the path, the Windows directory or the Windows System directory." I am using all latest software and it is all installed correctly. I am using SKS 6.1. Possibly WB has not been updated in this area, to use SKS 6.1? WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 6.1 (build 55 x86) W
Sounds great to me! Nice work on StarDust Nikos!
...did Johnny Boy twist your arm...
John had nothing to do with it, I surprised him! ;)
Frogboy! Thank you so much for the MSImport file, it works fast and easy! I really appreciate it! :D
...there are a few good artists out there whose work you have to admire...
That is very true Leo, there are several good artists still designing .msstyles for the UXTHEME.DLL patch, but most of them use StyleBuilder or a ResEdit type hacker program to do so. There are other factors that have played into my decision, like the lack of support from TGTSoft to its users, and the fact that after a multitude of questions to the owner via email and even trying to get new product
We have a utility around here somewhere that does it. Lemme find it.
Cool! Mind sending it my way when you find it Frogboy, I could definitely put it to good use! ;)
Still, you can use SKS5 to bring them all to WB.
I will try to do that over time I.R. ;) Any requests from users?
For those of you that would like to keep track of Shimmer, I will post progress reports on my site. :) [link="http://www.lightstar1.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?1383"]WWW Link[/link]
My prayers are with you and your family.
It has been two years now since any further software development was done by TGTSoft on its products, the last release of StyleXP was in June of 2006. In my opinion and for all intents and purposes TGTSoft, who had its start in 2001, is gone. No more staff, no more technical support, no more nothing. To the best of my knowledge there is no one working at the company at all. Emails
FrogBoy, your responses in this thread are right on the money! I agree with you 100%. ;)
It is always good to be recognized. Congratulations, and may you have many years more! :CONGRAT:
Super picks all! I especially like Vienna 3 - Rapture! :CONGRAT:
I stand corrected on skinning a single app.... I guess it can be done. ;)
Well, I just checked my MSN submenus in XP, and they work fine. I am using a WB skin that is being designed from the start using SkinStudio 6. When I applied a skin that was a port from a .msstyles, the problem does occur. So in my case it is evidently how SkinStudio 5 imported the .msstyles that is causing the problem. This may not be true for everyone, but since SkinStudio 5 is no longer being supported by Stardock, I don't think the problem is fixable unless you exclude MSN in your Window
My home town team! Yes! :CONGRAT:
I am really sorry Dehradun, and I would like to help, but I think you are not understanding using Windowblinds. It is designed to skin the entire operating system GUI for Windows XP and Windows Vista, it is not designed to skin individual applications and work in conjunction with the Luna theme, or any other .msstyles theme.
Super docks WebGizmos! :)
Well done everyone, on a personal note I'd like to see LightStar be considered at...
You did not need to do that butch123, but thanks! :)
Very nice as usual though the first thing I'll be doing as usual is getting rid of the goddamn userpic in skinstudio!
In respect of those who have religious beliefs, including me, God has nothing to to with a userpic. Does anyone monitor the language used in these forums? (:(
