If you apply a theme and reboot, does the theme show up on reboot?
No, it does not Neil, it stays at with the Windows Classic look. I did resolve the problem though for now. I had to uninstall everything, and I mean everything that comes from Stardock on my system, I then had to delete leftover directories that the uninstall process did not remove. The then scrubbed and cleaned the registry several times until no problems at all appeared and then installed Impulse and

Pretty simple really Cavan1, if I apply a set of cursors that came with CursorFX, or any cursors that use effects, and then change to a set of cursors that do not have effects, the effects from the previously applied cursors remain. I don't think I can be any plainer than that. It is evidently a bug in CursorFX that needs looked at.

I am having the exact same problem, started a few days ago. Only the Windows Classic look will apply, but it is using the selected skins colors. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times to no avail. As a matter of fact, most of my software from Stardock (OD Subscription) is messing up, WB, IconPackager locks up PC when applying, etc. I am about to give up. I am running Windows XP MCE with SP2 installed and all other updates to date. WindowBlinds version : WindowBlin

Having a little problem with CursorFX on Windows XP. It seems that if I apply a CursorFX theme that utilizes Effects and/or Trails, and then apply a different theme that does not use Effects and/or Trails, that the Effects and/or Trails from the previous set remain active and you have to manually remove them. Anyone else experience this problem?

Evidently you do not have Stardock's Windowblinds software installed fujyoshi. You cannot apply any of the Windowblinds skins here on the site without it being installed first. You can download a 30 day trial version of it here: ( https://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds/downloads.asp ) Enjoy! :)
I have a feeling that the black dialog background is going to be a problem as there will be at least one app which hardcodes black for text.
Yeah, and that's a real bummer too Neil. Oh well, guess I will have to succumb to the whims of Microsoft.... they sure make it difficult for a person to skin Vista with any creativity at all. Thanks to everyone for their input. :)

I have not personally installed SP3 yet on my system, as I run some software that will not run on SP3 yet, and I also run dual-boot XP MCE and Vista Ultimate. Does anyone know what installing SP3 would do to a dual boot system? I have SP3 blocked from installing right now until I get a lot of information on these type issues first.
