In addition, it's like someone buying a fart in a jar.
OMG, don't they know you can get a toaster that you can do this with? Or heck, if you're good enough, set make your own toasting mechanism to do it.
I didn't know that when you rebooted with norton, it ran window's instead. That's odd that it did that though. I don't think I ever had windows take over norton disk doctor for boot up. Hmm, not sure then. I usually do it on startup so I can do a free-space check along with it. It just takes several hours. If I think or come up with anything and you still have the problem, I'll let you know.
My comment: I told WB to ignore firefox and not to skin it. I use whatever skin I"m using as a whole, without having WB mess with it. I haven't had any problems yet.
Norton, you can tell it to do it on the boot up. That's what I use. I only use checkdisk if I really really have to. What I was talking about was exactly what they said, just in more words about turn off all your programs and apps. But most of the time you have to do it on boot up or it won't scan correctly since things are running.
Usually Warrenties work this way. You have to call the tech support of the company you bought it from, where the warrenty is for. After they go through their list of troubleshooting, they will give you instructions on how to get your new hardware (If it's covered under Warrenty). I know Gateway sent my one customer a new Harddrive and you had to send the old one back after pulling whatever you can off of it.
Usually because windows or any other program running locks the drive. You have to usually scan your C: on boot up before anything loads up.

You can't really turn bitmaps into vector. You however can import your bitmaps into CoreclDraw and remove the background nicely and do other things if you like. One link you can check out -> http://www.cedesign.com/html/whitebg.html See how much that helps
